How do you prepare for summer?

What are your favorite summer rituals and how do you get ready for them?

Anything special you do?

2)eat LOTS of blackberrys
3)listen to the frogs
4)catch snakes&turtles on the road&field
5)drink more beer/less bourbon
6)stay up much later doing work I somehow managed to finish by 5 PM all winter long

This brings back a funny memory...

Everybody remember the first day of summer vacation from elementary school? Remember how everyone met up outside and half the little kids had their head shaved? Maybe that was just in my neck of the woods, but that just cracked me up.

Thanks god, I'm not alone. I hate the heat, I'm a cold person. You can always put more clothes on ,you can only take so many off.

umm....get drunk. strangely, that's how I begin most seasons. http://www.thehypertribe.net/ubb/biggrin.gif heh...ok, so I am not an alcoholic, but usually, since I'm 19, my friends and I have a nice big party once college gets out, to celebrate the beginning of summer...and we throw in the dazed and confused soundtrack after watching the movie......

"schools out, for the summer....
schools out, for-EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Then there is always the road trip, where we again pull out the dazed and confused soundtrack. Play the beginning part to "Low Rider" and go..."LETS RIDE!!" (watch gone in 60 seconds if you dont get it...)
