I don't knwo the whole back story but RiZZ (not on his own) decided to go to this forum and play with them. He's not really being a full fleded troll but he made a general nucance (misspelled just for RiZZ) of himself.

Long story short, they fucking closed up

I have no clue as to why (other than the RiZZ crap...much of which I enjoyed)

granted we haven't had any asswipes make 1,000 posts in 5 days but we also didn't allow all the bullshit that these guys let go on (note: that was an open ended statement ripe for arguement)

but that's the trick of it

It's difficult to pull the plug but sometimes things need to pass. Once a mission is completed, it's time to work on a new one.

I yanked a plug like that once but I gave no warning. Once it began to thrash, I left it alone so it could twitch and gasp. It wasn't easy to watch.

two weakest members of the board, no it wasn't planed, but it couldn't have
went better.

After a few hours I successfully found a weakness and exploited it to its
fullest extent and the babies ran away and left the site. This alone would
of quenched my thirst for internerd blood, but it wasn't enough for one of
your members, she chose the high road, and posted as a guest to the board.
Thinking that this might be a shield or something. When a dog bites you and
you have safely gotten away, do you stand behind the fence and toss rocks at
it to give away your location? Well if so that's your choice, this dog can
jump fences.

Grudge formed. Remember Hitler and the Jews? we i don't recall the Jews
doing anything to do "deserve" what happened to them (meaning they didn't
start the fight, that i know of); Well my anger for the jews (LisaJ) isn't
quite as ruthless as Hitler, but its nearly as strong.

Why? You ask. Well I'll tell you why. Once she ran away from me and turned
to through rocks from afar she began trolling for responses from me, and she
got them. The problem we face here is when you run from me and then pester
me to attack you, well, I will do just that. I wont stop, I follow you
around flinging mud starting fights causing disorder everywhere i go, i
don't hide when i do it. I get all up in your face.

OK! Back on track here. What does this have to do with you, Ace? Well see
you are trolling for a response from the big bad RiZZ now. The problem with
you trolling me is, your skin is thicker, you are harder to attack, hell you
might even be in my league for an internet fight. All this is fine, hell
might even be fun.

The problem we have (this is my retort) is you type things like this
"Namely, you need to grow up.. You still sit at the kids table during family
holidays, don't you?" (directed towards dead jennies, and I'm not in defense
of him) followed by simple kid jokes "you fag, you retard, you can't think
HAHAHAHA" well that doesn't work in a "flame war" you cant preach one side
about being adult and being funny then using attacks like a 3year old. You
(this is were you say "like you RiZZ" and i reply "i would never say
anything different"), assmuncher. "come back when you've figured out the
velcro on your shoes.." that was a good one by its self but you toss in
later "Fags are stackable.." this reverts you back to the same childish
behavior you preached against, not to mention that this whole time you are
trolling hard core for a response form me, it runs "Ace attacks, RiZZ
agrees, Ace attacks, RiZZ agrees... repeat"

I mean we have seen this a thousand times already you punch with small words
i respond with smaller words, you attack with big (or lots of) words and I
might actually type something but presumably not. Ok I am sick of typing now
so let me wrap this up.

I never clamed to not be a childish, meaner than satan, asshole. I never
told anyone to grow up. Heck i still laugh at poop jokes because they are
the best.

If you would like to stop trolling now maybe we can get the discussion side
of this forum going and maybe we will find some "adult" things to talk
about. that or we can go back and forth like little kids with the pointless
names calling that doesn't hurt either of us. Practice what you preach. Be
an example. Yeah that bull shit.

censorship-free message boards always have to defend
their policy of non-censorship sooner or later? I
mean, come on. Most internet boards will lock or
delete your threads/posts or even ban you if you step
over vague, loosely defined lines. Conform or be cast
out is their way. When folks have had their fill of
that bullshit, they find a board like this one that
won't tell them what they can and can't say.

Enter the fuckwits. Sooner or later the free speech
boards will get one or two fuckwitted members looking
to join the fray. They try to find a clique to join.
They have great fun posting and discussing everything
under the sun. Then someone calls them on some bit of
idiocy posted by a fuckwit. The pattern is usually
this: The fuckwit gets offended and fights back. The
fuckwit gets their ass handed to them by posters with
betters grasps of logic and reasoning, not to mention
some well deserved bile. The fuckwit feels betrayed.
The fuckwit appeals to the administration to silence
all the meany heads. The admins stick to their policy
and recommend the fuckwit suck it up and not take it
so seriously. The fuckwits then condemn the board,
everyone that posts on it, and all their ancestors for
100 generations. Then they announce their departure.
Then they lurk. Then they chime in haphazardly with
much indignation and defensiveness. Then they leave
again. Then they lurk some more. If allowed, they will
post with unregistered usernames. Eventually, they
either disappear permanently or for a few weeks, then
rejoin the activity on the board like nothing ever
happened.

Its all somewhat amusing but something about it leaves
me puzzled. Granted, these fuckwits aren't the
sharpest tools in the shed, but why is it that they
can't wrap their brains around the concept of
"anything goes" ? Why do they always go running to the
admins demanding someone be silenced on these
censorship free boards? Is it because this is how they
believe message boards should operate? Is it because
its worked for them in the past at other boards? Is it
because human nature desires a higher power solve
their problems for them?

I just don't get it.

I've posted a lot of stupid shit at other boards and
had my ass handed to me by other posters. It was
usually funny, even if it was at my expense. I either
dished it back out or took my lumps. It never occured
to me to PM an admin or moderator and ask them to
intercede on my behalf. Yet I've seen it dozens of
times over. In my mind it all comes down to the old
saying, "If ya can't take the heat, stay out of the
kitchen." That's pretty much how I operate on message
boards.

So tell me, am I in the minority or the majority? Do
most people want censorship or not? Do they say that
they don't and then whistle a different tune when its
their back against the wall?

What the hell is wrong with people? Please tell me.

I sent the admins of Ambient Noize a short e-mail expressing some genuine good will on my behalf. It was a fun board for the most part. Tis a shame I was only a member for less than a week before they pulled the plug.

I did get a reply from one of the admins. I won't post it in its entirety but I will pass on that she commented that she and the other admins had been considering shutting down the site for over a month before RiZZ showed up. RiZZ-Gate was a good enough reason to finalize their decision.

Any hoo, I think RiZZ's activity over there was harmless, but after hanging around you motherfuckers for a few years, I suppose I have a much higher tolerance for abuse than your average message board poster.

It would be nice if some of their membership showed up here. You regulars bore me.

well, consider that if certain individuals had been solely in charge of THT at certain times in the past it would have been shut down. Hell, there where instances where I said "fuck it. turn it off" but, like it or not, there are several other voices here to say 'calm the fuck down" at such times.

Now I liked the 3 admins at that other board and I thought they where handling it all very well. I only saw a couple of posters there who really wound up about it. I'm not sure what other things affected their decision but I've never seen trolling/internet aggricvation from this side before. It was a learning experience.

BUT......as an object lesson to all registered NON-admin members of ANY board I want you to realise that your PRIVATE reaction to things going on at your forum has a massive effect on those who choose to be responible for keeping it up and in order. Your Pm's and emails do get read and counted. You really DO have a say in what happens on the boards you frequent. And one voice really DOES get added to all the others.

Unfortunatley, a loud minority can ruin it for a silent majority.

Even on a board as small as THT two ppl bitching about the same thing is a minority. But, goddamn they can be annoying...or pursuasive.
(By way of comparison, four ppl is a flood of opinion that can't be ignored.)
