Fortuna favours the brave
and the weak are left behind
the foolish left to wallow in their own constructs
and the cowardly left to rot

But who is left when the chips fall
and the brave die, the bold cut down
the meek inherit the earth
because all the brave are dead.

Perhaps this is divine judgement
the arrogence of man destroying itself.

So the degredation falls.
The effeminate, the weak, strive for nothing
Corpses. Corpses. Walking.

Do the dead look on in horror?
Seeing the travesty that outlives them?
Do those that live disgust them?
And are they right?

Who knows the truth. Who knows the light.
Some do, but they are dead.
Others do, but they are prophets in the desert
speaking to the wasteland that is human life.

The dead are not just corpses, however.
They are the bringers of truth
preaching light in the darkness
those willing to risk everything for a greater life
a greater truth. Greater meaning. Life. Life. Forever life.

And yet the hard of heart dont listen.
the foolish dont think they are, and defeat themselves.
The proud cant see past their ego
The meek cant have the courage to reach.

Only the brave are favoured in the heavens.
Those willing to sacrifice all for what they believe in.
Family, home, health, life.

For whoever gains his life shall lose it, but whoever loses his life shall gain it.

And thats the truth. But only the brave are willing to believe.
