I'd be more inclined to join if i had a better grasp of just what it was I was joining. I know that Seti is looking for intelligent life elsewhere than Earth, but that page does not say what all that CPU time is going towards, or define it in any way....

Arrrg. Once it turned into a competition of processors with a friend of mine, I nixed it. I can't keep up with all the systems he has as his disposal. He's past 1000 packets to my 324.

EDIT: Dammit, now I have an even better reason to want to overclock this whore of a PC. Still on my first packet, even after 29 and a half hours, I'm only 37% of the way thru it. Also, the homepage tells that with the new build of the app, it takes longer to run a packet. So all you old time users have an advantage over us newbie kids.

Sad thing is, I have left the PC running overnight with no other apps going, and it still is THAT damn slow.

It's been a while since I've done this.

1. On the graph screen, choose "Settings"

2. Select "Login to existing account"

3. Enter the following email address:

kollection-owner@yahoogroups.com

If that doesn't work, go back to step 1 and select "Create/Change account"

Enter "HyperTribe" as the nick and kollection-owner@yahoogroups.com as the address.

Let me know of successes or failures in these procedures.
