anyone have any particular reactions with particular drinks?
ex. - gin will make you sin. ( i know it does me)
tequila - please don't dare me to do anything unclothed! Atleast not in public.

Vodka - better stay away from me, cause i like to fight drinking vodka! NAsty tasting shit!

Champagne - I don't remember much about New Years that's for sure!

i've only noticed two different "drunks", beer and booze. i attribute this to the speed of intoxication.
i don't like it when people blame bad behaviour on their choice of drinks, because it's not like vodka has pcp in it or anything. like it or not, you're in control of yourself even when you're drunk (to a point, obviously).

Zambuca is a type of aniseed tasting liquor, I think it is originally italian, sort of like Ouzo but a lot sweeter.

I drink, I get drunk.. It's just a matter of how much. If I've had a bad day I'll be irritated all night and maybe pick a fight and if it's been a good one (which it usually is when I've decided to drink) I'm etc. etc. etc.

Favourite drink: hmmm.. Maybe some Gin and Lime or Barcardi Limon and red/green soda! Yeah.. Those are my favs!

Though yours is pretty good as well GA - I've just had weee to many bad experiences with it so I'm pretty much off vodka at the moment!

As I understand it:
Alcohol, essentially, thins the blood and reduces oxygen levels. The brain is especially affected by this. I am going to guess that harder liquor is going to generally have a faster and stronger affect. Thus, you react, symptomatically, to a greater degree.

In my personal experience, attitude and environment make all the difference.
I can drink beers first thing in the morning no prob. The calm me down or just taste good with a steak. Same for wine.

Liquor I only drink when I am ready to stop everything else. No more work or worries. Stress a liquored man and he will get violent or depressed etc.
My advise to you people who have problems with your hard liquor and your attitude:

Find something to calm you down and relax you first.
If you can't let go of the stress and problems, DON'T DRINK.
You obviously need something else.

When you are horny you drink Champaign.
When you party you drink beer.
When you are pissed off you drink Tequila.
Etc...

I think you were already in that mood when you started drinking and the surreal nature of the world while drunk often gives us an excuse to act on impulses.

i'll state my favourite drinks, also:
previously it was scotch, neat, but i now am forced to drink only beer most of the time due to a stomach issue. i still get back to my hard-drinking roots occasionally, though. gin and oj is good both for taste and for snoop-factor, and vodka mixes well with almost any juice or dr pepper.
i currently drink cheap beer, because i'm currently cheap.

A nyway, here goes...

Long Island Iced Teas are a perfect way to get a shitload of booze in the system, and when made well, taste splendid. I used to have about 9-10 of them a night, along with a pitcher or 2 of beer.

some say that Jagermeister gives you an odd buzz, and I would have to agree with this. There are many stories about it going around that the real Jager, from the fatherland, has deer blood in it. now, I'm no chemical engineer... so I have no clue if the addition of real blood in a drink would affect the type of buzz to be had, but I can say that Jager has a mild opiate effect on me.

I basically love all kinds of hard liqour, be it tokillya, vodka, rum, anything... but taste is important too, hence the iced teas I already mentioned.

Bottom line. If you know you are liable to become an asshole when drinking, dont drink. That simple. But, if you can maintain a good social vibe during a night out, have as much as you can safely handle. It may even help your pool game, right MAC?</FONT c>
