Seriously, a thread was deleted.
I suspect I was the immediate proximate cause of that deletion.
If so, whichever admin deleted it needs to step up to the plate, acknowledge the deletion, and state their reason(s).
The thread in question might reasonably have been moved to Barathrum - I am of the opinion that deletion was excessive.

No need.
My reply was in direct context with your comment that it addressed.
So is this one.
You don't like what I have to say? Too fucking bad. You come across in chat (a public forum) as a whiney bitch with serious attitude problems. You come across exactly the same here.
I call em as I sees em. Don't like that? Quit whining.
Let's see if this one gets deleted.

You know, I'm done with the pettiness. You can continue but I stop here.
Go ahead and post your last word now since I know you're waiting to.

Simon, on behalf on THT Administration, I apologize for your lost posts. We are seeking correction of the matter to insure something like this doesn’t happen again.
Thank you and again, my apologies.

Thanks. No apologies needed. I rather suspect I know what was done by whom.
My comment in the deleted thread was harsh - I don't deny that at all. In the context of that thread, I considered it appropriate, and still do.

Suffice it to say the guilty party is no longer an admin.
I apologize personally for the problem - usually admins know well enough not to capitalize on their added privileges to edit as they please. Estero (not surprisingly, I must admit) isn't one of them.
Feel free to repost anything deleted you consider relevant without additional consequences.
yeah looks like a thread was deleted despite the universally understood and standing rule that threads with posts in them cannot be deleted. it's too easy to edit out anythign you want to delete somethign unless its a screw up such as a double thread or some spammer registers and posts all child porn or something.
but now we gotta find out how that worked
cause mod's can't delete threads
I could give a rat's ass who said what to who or when or how or why. ya'll can argue, post, etc all you like but someone pushed a button and the "guilty party" has NOT been found.
someone owes an apology for that serious fuck up in judgement
and then we'll sacrifice them to THE JESUS.
I wonder what's up with this though, now I'm just curious. Are you saying that someone without the actual rights deleted a thread? From what I scanned over on this thread that got deleted (I never actually read the first post to the thread) some racsist comments were said. Nothing too vulger but maybe it was what set off the comments that ended up getting the thread deleted.
I think one of our members is throwing a hissy fit, now estero's webcam is gone. The internet is a devious bastard.

Just to clarify, the deleted thread was not mine, nor was I it's primary respondent. It contained a number of jocular references to latinos - in that vein I made a reference to latinos coming to america from canada as "ice-backs".
At the time, estero and I were engaged in a somewhat acerbic bit of mutual sniping in #wota. Chat log is available upon request. In any case, I would suppose that she carried her anger from chat into the forum, and made a rather nasty comment directed at me as a loser and trailer trash. I replied in kind - as is my habit, when attacked I return fire and escalate.
She then became enraged and said a few more unfortunate things - I pretty much replied in kind. If needed, to an admin I can provide a log of the dcc chat window she opened to me at that point, although I don't think such is necessary or really appropriate.
I was also in #hypertribe chatting with mute - he pointed out a thread had been deleted. When I looked, it was the thread estero had become offended by.
Basically a tempest in a teapot. I do not think that deleting the thread was appropriate, as I said moving it to Barathrum probably would have been.
Much ado about nothing, save the actual thread deletion without consultation in direct contravention of the forum's policies.

No need for the chat logs Simon.
No one was in the wrong except for the person who deleted the thread and they SHOULD BE apologizing in time.
We are working to rectify the situation as a whole.

Hi! I've ve just come back from a couple of days of vacation!
Nanya and Nay behaved and had a BLAST with their Mimi at the Tennessee Aquarium during that time! Sid and I are proud and delighted!
Nathan actually takes a leak by himself and made a point to tell Mimi that he needed to go instead of unloading in his pants.
It's good to be back? ;)

That sounds about like your sentiment above doesn't it?

We, The THT Admins, wish to convey our heartfealt apologies for our childish behavior.
We ask that you help to keep that level of behavior to a minimum while allowing childianess to continue to flow.
Joke!
Keep your claws in check.
Thank you in advance.

Why are you even bothering to bring Piano into this? As I have said one million times, I begged him to do it, I thought I had the abilities to do it but thought something was wrong at the time (as I have had the ability to delete threads prior to this) and I'm sure he thought the same. Piano didn't do ANYTHING wrong, if you want to blame someone blame me, I don't care.
Its over, my privileges have been taken away for deleting it (so there is NO reason why piano should suffer any consequences), the end. Let it go or find something else to bitch about
kaye asked for her cam to be taken down
it can be put right back whenever she likes
I am told that only kaye, p-mahnn, simon and billyman had posted in the thread
lets not do this again, shall we?
I would like to note for our members that occasionally someone posts something that they shouldn't (or wish they hadn't) if no one has replyed to it an admin can delete it, but otherwise you are always free to go back and edit your own posts. That's why that option is turned on. If you ever really pop off with something you wish you hadn't said you DO have the option of changing your text
now once you're quoted.....well then our polite rules start to get complex...I suggest you learn to live with what you've said or what's been said to you
anyway, the primary reason we don't delete threads around here is that its just plain rude to anyone who took the time to reply.
now the quality of those replys........this is why we have other forums such as the barathrum.

Good God! Let me get this straight, I don't post for a few days, Estro gets offended and cries, so Pmahn delets a thread (don't even get me started on deleting things because someone's offended), and then tries to say he didn't know it was bad? Please. You've been around here how long?
That's it! You're all grounded!
