Indeed, "hate" is a strong word.

Are you implying that it is accurately used in the context of your post?

I hate olives.

I hate olives too, so I avoid them.
I hate my job and my boss, but I unfortunetly can't avoid that.

I need a new job. Thanks for the resume builder.

exactly how many of us are currently working on resumes?

I have my old one here (7 years is old right?)

I have all my technical info.

I have a very nice template that mudflap sent me over a year ago.

I have a good idea about what I'd put on it

but I have no clue what I'd do if I left where I am.

I gotta kick myself in the ass and get it done.

besides everytime I look at my resume I write a fictional story about something else.

I've been working on my resume since September but I haven't been able to format a template that I think works.

Muddy? You think you could share?

I am hell bent that once I get my next job I will not hate it. I will never use that word because at least I wil have a job.

Right now I'm jobless and poor and I will be all too happy to be working to be hating :[

I don't want to get on a soapbox here but we run around preaching "freedom" and "democracy" only to give those things up in the workplace. Once we "clock in", we abandon all rights and freedoms, offering ourselves up to the will of the corporate megastructure. If your boss tells you to go fetch a cup of coffee, you do it or suffer the consequences.

Once upon a time that was called "slavery".

There are a lot of people who silently agree with your FUCK ME! , Barbie. It's sad that they continue to get fucked without knowing it.

You found out.

I'll shut up now.

I soon get the opportunity to create a resume and go hunt a good job. it will be the kind of job in which i can take the one that works best for me, not the only one i can find. i was at this point in my life once before, and there is a sense of power associated with it that i can't even imagine right now. at the moment i am used as the part time whipping girl at my job, which is fine because i actually get a kind of perverse pleasure out of it. i go in twice a week and let them vent on me for things that happened during the two or three days during which i was not there. then i go eat a cookie or two and shake my head, laughing.
i am in awe of those of you who are resume bound and allowed the luxury of searching. i'm not even sure what i'm going to do with that freedom, i only know i need to start doing it soon.
wow. job hunting. what a concept!

Yeah, I hate my job too.

I'm overworked, underpaid, sorely underappreciated, (as are the co-workers) and I get the joys of constant injuries to my body and the stresses of driving around Metro Detroit - most areas probably the worst in the state as far as traffic.

I cannot particularly advance in that shithole, and getting raises is equally troublesome - only advantage over the market is that I get nice checks from them, and it isn't minimum wage.

If employers gave a shit about what I've had on resumes/job apps, I'd probably do some searching and asking around...but fuck it.
