My boss dragged me to a client reception in Fort McMurray and so here I am typing on this keyboard staring at the T while I type becaues I'm on this "Internet TV".
I've just finished setting up the ballroom for this thing and now I'm just going to have to wait until 3PM when I have to put my "hostess" face on.
My flight was not direct. It had a pit stop in Edmonton from Calgary, and while in Edmonton we were delayed 1 hr because of a security breach in the terminal Not too bad of a wait really, but my ass so sore by the end other flight.
In all honesty if this was a real security breach, I'm surpised we dd not wait muc longer. They only needed one hour to rescan 1000 people? Must have been a quick rescan.
This shows just how serious our airport are taking security.
I don't like my hotel room. I've been spoiled in the past I think, because this room is small. My bed is small. My bathroom is small, and my view? Well, I look out onto part of the roof and a retaining wall.
$129 per night for this? That's what you get for coming to a town of 40,000 (mostly camp workers/roughnecks)
I"m not here to enjoy the view though. I"m here to work. Play hostess to a bunch of big wigs from the Oil and Gas sector. I'm here to help promote emissions.
Mostly, I just miss my husband. I am never away from him. I"m far to dependant on him. I rely on him so much. Ah, what have a I done? I've lost the independance that I had after I left the ex. I've helped create Mike into a co-dependant.
