this is happening for any birthday prior to Dec 31, 1969, which is the Unix zero time ie zero seconds and now is the number of seconds that passed since then. (actually it's Jan 01, 1970 but likely adjusted for DST).

Anyways, the dates are stored correctly in the database, but I have no idea why they are being converted from a date to a unix timestamp, which is likely occuring in the vbulletin scripts. i dont have time to track it down tonight but ill look into it later this week.
