Since I left a week ago I've learnt some life crucial facts about Thailand and from my travels:

- you can buy a Coke almost anywheres in the world.

- 'lady boys' are well respected in some areas of world, not compared to my home town Halifax where they know some drunk will end up riduiculing them outside.

- there's a thing called the International House of Pancakes?

- never point your feet towards an elder while talking to one in Thailand, very rude. Which I find funny to whoever would make that up in the first place. I thought it meant pointing your feet at someone, like trying to point them out, which is even sillier.

- never touch someone's head in THailand. It's a sacred thing, like a temple.

- never kiss in public, holding hands is ok but kissing in public is rude.

- it seems like the hardest workers in this world don't get paid didly squat. They get paid less than a lazy jackass that works at McDonalds in Iowa. I could be wrong about this one *shrugs*

Hey, I'm just pretty much bored waiting for everyone to wake up.

Yup, my bro sent me a 10 oz can of Coke from Egypt. IT'S EVERYWHERE YOU WANNA BE! Kinda like Visa.

Are you speaking of transvestites?

- there's a thing called the International House of Pancakes?

Ahm, yeah, they're all over hell and creation. I don't think I've been anywhere that there wasn't an IHOP somewhere around.

- never point your feet towards an elder while talking to one in Thailand, very rude. Which I find funny to whoever would make that up in the first place. I thought it meant pointing your feet at someone, like trying to point them out, which is even sillier.

Better yet, point and laugh. I use to date a 1/2 Tai. Her full blooded mom use to fill me in.

- never touch someone's head in Thailand. It's a sacred thing, like a temple.

This is true just about anywhere. The next time you're waiting at the airport, just go up and give some dude a "noogie" and see what happens.

- never kiss in public, holding hands is ok but kissing in public is rude.

Public displays of affection or love are fine when kept sensible no matter where you go. Having to undergo a live clip of tonsil hockey between a couple is disgusting in any country.

You're just NOW realizing this? In another country at that? Come a little closer to home and cross the boarder and I'll tell you "Welcome to America".

Hey, I'm just pretty much bored waiting for everyone to wake up.

And I'm getting close to being up close and personal with my pillow.

Enjoy the rest of your trip and keep us informed. :)

IHOP is not that big in Canada. Kinda like Crispy Creams.

Smitty's is big though, and Tim Horton's of course.
Wendy's seems more popular in Calgary (at least) than McDonalds too.

IHOP...not so much.

I think NH must secretly be part of Canada because I have yet to come across an IHOP or Krispy Kreme.
