Has anyone else noticed that he's really really really fucking old?

I mean, isn't it a bit silly to have an old fart, who can't even bend over anymore, as the leader of the most influencial, financially speaking, doctrine in the modern world?

Or am I missing the point here?

Sheesh... Here's how I understand it.

The Pope is like your dad. Once he's in place, he's Dad till he dies. Even when he get's too old to control his bowel movements, the "family" goes on but its controlled by the younger crowd. Instead. Brothers and Sisters, Bishops and Cardinals. Yes, and even Fathers.

Hell, I know it's not "THE TRUTH"; that's why I don't practice.

One thing you will find about the current Pope is that he accepted that science could finally be thought of as a search for "THE TRUTH". That, my friend, is a pretty big goddam bridge between the rational and esoteric aspects of existence. When I first learned that the Big Bang Theory could be considered as pure knowledge about what is, I had second thoughts about my preconceptions.

Mrs. Kol is currently in the process of converting. It may take more than a year. She attends classes each week. Her reasons are her own but one in particular stands out.

Mrs. Kol was an abused spouse before she met me. She has issues she would like to resolve and she chooses to settle her "spirit" with the help of this organized religion. When all of the "kneel, stand, love your fellow man, forgive, understand" bullshit is done, a Tribunal will be called and she may be able to have her previous marriage annulled.

Once that's done, I will propose to her again and marry her in her church.
