MERRY FUCKING CHRISTMAS! (http://www.theweathernetwork.com/weather/news/story1.htm)
Oct 28 (TWN) A winter storm warning has been issued for central and southern Alberta and Saskatchewan where up to 30 centimetres of snow is expected by Wednesday morning.
The snow will start falling this afternoon in an area including Calgary, Edmonton and Regina. Edmonton will see the most snow, with about 30 centimetres possible by Wednesday morning. Calgary and Regina will see lesser amounts.
The storm is a low-pressure system tracking eastward from British Columbia where wind warnings are in place. As the low tracks eastward, cooler air will get drawn in behind it -- cold enough for snow. The much-colder air will continue to plague Alberta and Saskatchewan right through Thursday.
On Monday, parts of Saskatchewan were dealing with winds of up to 100 kilometres per hour. In Regina, the high gusts flipped a glider at the city's airport.
Parts of southeastern Manitoba, meantime, were hit with about 10 centimetres of snow. The snow is causing problems on roadways across the region. The RCMP has issued a travel warning for southern Manitoba. The snow has contributed to as many as 1,000 minor accidents.
My home....of snow, Calgary (http://www.theweathernetwork.com/weather/cities/can/pages/CAAB0049.htm)

The snow is coming down sideways.
It hurts when it hits the face!
Man, the snow sounds worse than what the site lets on!
I do so miss the snow though...maybe next fall (late fall), I'll drive up to Michigan to visit the grandparents. :) (with a quick stop over in Calgary!)
And Detroit going down? AHAHAHAHA! I have always thought you had a good sense of humor Barbie, that was a great joke! :bigthumb:

Psst...I know she is good, why don't you send her to the pros, I hear the teams near Calgary, where ever that hole in the wall is, really suck and could use some experienced players!! ;)
And as far as bringing weather, I'll send it up there after I leave, I want to see some snow, remember?? :D

More snow as we speak. The snow Gods are to be dropping it on and off all weekend. I hope it's just the beginning. I haven't seen a good winter in a decade. And by good winter, I mean at LEAST 3 feet of snow on the ground in the valleys.
our cold front is here
it'll top out at mid 70's today and it could rain this morning
this is rather warm for november.
