Nightmare in fact.

I cant remember the last time I had a nightmare. Prolly several years. And I cant remember if one has actually ever woken me up from my sleep but the one I had last night did.

I dreamed I saw someone breaking into a car but I couldnt see who it was. I reported it to the police. Then the next night I saw someone breaking into my car. This time I walked outside and yelled at them. They turned around and I got a good look at their face. So I yelled that I saw them and I was going to report them to the police. They ran off so I returned to inside my apartment about to call the police. That when the person was behind me. They had a knife. The person was coming after me. I ran into my kitchen and was up against the wall trying to reach for the phone when the person lunged at me and slit my throat. That when I woke up.

I was sweating and sitting straight up in bed. I couldnt go back to sleep. I got up and checked all the locks on my doors and windows, twice. Then I was going to go into the kitchen to get a drink but I couldnt. I sat infront of my computer for awhile but I was still shaking. After almost an hour of sitting there I finally got up and went back to bed. It was another hour or so of watching cartoons before I was able to get back to sleep.

I honestly cant remember a nightmare shaking me that badly.

wow! that's crazy-style. its been a very long time since i've woken up in terror as well. i had nightmares a lot when i was young...slept with the light on & everything...knew the world was a bad, scary place from a very young age.

i used to have this recurring dream about driving up an extremely steep (like straight up & down!) hill - the scenario, vehicle & who was with me was always different. i would actually tense up in my sleep & would inevitably fall backwards off the hill (and could literally feel it happening) every time...until the one nite that i said "fuck it", slammed down the gas pedal & flew over the top of that baby! i haven't had the dream since... http://www.thehypertribe.net/ubb/smile.gif

i think there is much to be learned from our dreaming. so much is symbolic that its difficult to "interpret" them at times.

look for strife in your life - something or someone that poses a threat in some way. i dunno...just a thought.

may tonite be filled with sweet dreaming for you! http://www.thehypertribe.net/ubb/smile.gif

I had one a week or so ago, and in my life, I only had one other nightmare that scared me as bad as this one did.

I was in town at night, and nobody else was around. I decided to cross the street, and when I was in the middle of the street, I doubled over in pain to the point where I was just laying on the road. A car was coming, but it turned onto another road, so I wasn't run over. But then, I felt pressure coming from inside me, like something was pushing to come out of my stomach, trying to rip it open. It pushed harder, and harder...it was the most excruciating pain I'd ever known. I couldn't scream because I felt like all my organs were being pushed up into my throat. I started gagging, and I was about to throw up, and at this point, I knew it was a dream, but I couldn't wake up. I kept gagging...couldn't breathe...until I finally woke up. I felt so nauseous, I was shaking so hard, and my stomach actually felt like it had been pushed from the inside...it HURT. That freaked me out so bad...it was about an hour just before I could stop shaking and make the nausea go away, and took several before I could get back to sleep.
