I feel I should make some words of introduction. What to say? I am a senior in high school - waiting impatiently for adulthood and graduation and some sort of independance. I live for drama and music. Hrm... I tend to be a little odd but it serves to make things more interesting.

The rest you'll learn if you get to know me...

A newbie!!!!!!!!! :blue:

An actual newly registered member that ACTUALLY posted!

Wow, what a concept.

You’ll have to excuse me Hoogie, I get a little disgruntled when we have so many “new members” that never post or say a goddamn thing.

With that out of the way……….

Welcome, enjoy your stay, remember to keep you seat in a full upright position and your seat belt on at all times. Most of all, hang on tight, it’s gonna be a bumby ride. :)

Wow I feel so special, 14 replies.... Thanks guys

My favorite color is red.... I think. No you can't see my tits - I somehow think my parents might object (not to mention that I might object). Sorry ;). And as for brains, I do have them.... though I don't think you can see them without doing some kind of harm to my physical health.... unless you have a surgical camera or something... but i digress.

As for you guys being crazy, no worries, I'm used to madness ;) I am, after all, a theatre person.

Hon, you put up with me, that alone is enough to drive a person somewhat crazy. ;)

Welcome to the Tribe. Restrooms are in the rear and please put the seat back up. The furniture's a bit worn but comfortable. Snake cage cleaning takes place in D&D every Saturday. Watch for the handler. He's more dangerous than the catch.

So what does a highschool freshman mentor do?

Koliedrus
09-25-2003, 02:18 PM
A theatre person!

Normally I don't give a fcuk about the importance of spelling but ...

A theater person shells out for any movie they can afford to see.
A theatre person performs.

Primo!

Rehearse and post regularly. Word on the thread say's you're worth watching.

Welcome.

Yay, someone else who knows why I spell it that way! Usually they just go "Why the heck you spell it with an 're'?" I'm starting to teach as an assistant drama coach from grades 1-8 in a week and a half, which will be fun and stressful, meaning you'll all probably hear me complaining about it sometime or another ;)

High school freshmen mentor - In our drama program we have a mentor system to ehlp new students. When Sostice was new, I was her mentor because I was not (new that is). Not too interesting or important....

hello!

watch out for jules, she's dangerous!

Koliedrus

Ooo. You just shot yourself in the foot!

Never assume that your audience will find your performance "Not too interesting or important...."

For GODSAKE, don't pass that inhibition to your students! Your cast will wind up having to pay far too much for laundering their costumes once the lights come up.

Notice that this forum is slow to respond but the audience (while looking on) doesn't always participate.

My drama coach got me through the stage fright by telling me to focus on one person in the audience at a time and perform for them.

Pick one and go.

(edit: Don't be afraid of starting a new thread and talking to no one in particular.)
