What's with this football bullshit?

I have never understood the stigma of sitting around, swigging beer with the boys on Sunday afternoons watching brainless(I would say behemoths but I am bigger than many of the linemen), steroided numbnuts making twenty times what I do, and I work for my money. It may just be me. Of course, I am an antisocial asshole. So bite me. I just have never seen the neccessity of "hanging out" with a group of rednecks watching football. I did do it a time or five when I was younger, but I still didn't like it.

I used to play college football, powerlift, etc, so don't give me the competition argument. I played against, and threw around like they were ragdolls, guys in high-school and college that are now playing pro ball. When I went to college and started playing college ball I quit watching college ball on tv because I kept seeing guys I had hammered in high-school on the damn tube. A few years later I quit watching pro ball because those same assholes were now playing pro ball.

Is that what this Saturday(college) and Sunday(pro) bullshit is about? Some hidden urge and need for competition and glory? If so, good grief, no wonder we are in the sad state we are in now.

I have always wondered if the majority of people who emmerse themselves into this, and wrestling, even have a testable IQ.

Like I said, it may just be me. But, damn! It is a bit ridiculas ain't it? You have guys spending hundreds of dollars to go to a game, dress up like an idiot, act like even more of an idiot, more likely than not getting in a fight with someone else who is dressed up and acting like an idiot for what, bragging right? "Hey guys. I went to the Dallas Convicts(Cowgirls, however you want to call them) game last weekend and got in a fight."

Wouldn't it be just as effective to have a head butting contest with a light pole? It may scramble some things around a bit but it also may do some good.

Now playing the stupid game is another matter. I know full well the need to burn off some excess aggression. When I played, my definition for football was this: "A way to release my aggressions without going to prison." So, go out and get a few guys together, and hit each other really hard repeatedly, so you can feel better about it in the morning.

I think I am just fed up with armchair quarterbacks. Get off your beer-bellied, lazy asses and do something.

I have not watched a Super Bowl in five years, and you know, I have not missed it very much. I liked the commercials better than I did the game.

Checking is ok. Right? Well , what I don't get or think is very homosexual is that if you get check , you have to be macho , and get up and fight the person. Or do something very childish in return. I think it's really gay. Then it's ok to fight . But the loser's get in the most trouble . Why's that?

Sounds lame to me. I hate it. My whole family is hockey , hockey , hockey . When I quit they got all mad. I was like.. ah I don't like it.

I also hate jocks. Yes ,there are some nice ones. But I've never met them . When you go to an all yuppy , jock , prep school and you're one of the hand full of skaters . Or one of the 50 black people. You get picked on ...a lot. Which isn't fun . Trust me. Especially when you have a nose ring and you talk shit back to the fuckers. Anyway.

I don't like hockey and I told my family this , and they got all mad . But at my uncle's house , there WAY into hockey. His little kid is a hockey freak , sleeps , eats, breaths hockey. And they always go to the Hockey games. The college team . Because the am team sucks ass. So they are friends with all the hockey players , and they always come over to thier house on holidays and shit like that. So I get to see them first hand. It's rather lame I think .I'm sure thier nice people. But they're still shit heads to me. And that's all that matter's

There is another point to this, football and professional sports in general. Why the hell are they paid so much? Is there like a lack of productivity factor that I am not seeing?

What I mean, name the most highly paid professions out there; pro sports players, doctors, lawyers, polititions, etc. Done that? Good. Now, name their productivity to the collective population as a whole. Absolutly nothing, zilch, nada, zero.

If their productivity to the "good" of the people-if you will excuse me sounding like a liberal ass for the moment- is nothing, then why are they paid so well? Is it because the least productive a job is, the most they are paid? Isn't that a slight contradiction?

I know there are some out there that will say that doctors are productive citizens of the world. Well, you can bite me too. Doctors are some of the most blatant charlatans in existance. Let me use a real life experience, several, to be exact. When I contracted mono, I was mis-diagnosed seven times, note, that 7 times. The test for mono is rather a simple one. It is easy to detect, so why the fuck-ups? Another example: a good friend of mine went to the hospitol with chest pain. The doctor diagnosed him with pneumonia, treated him with nothing, gave him a prescription and sent him on his way. Well, when he got home, he passed out. His wife called the paramedics. They took him back to the hospitol and lo and behold, he had spinal meninjitus, which the doctor completely missed. Oh, my friend died a day later. Another example: my aunt had been sick a while and had been taking antiobiotics. She took the cycle of them as she was supposed to. A few days later she started getting sick again. The doctor prescribed her some "different" antiobiotics. Well, she took one and in two hours she had swollen up like a baloon. She died less than a day later. The doctor knew that mixing antibiotics was dangerous, but he did it anyway. That is enough examples about doctors for now, I have more.

Why is it that those with lower than average IQ's in rather potent positions in today's Amercian society are paid wages that they have not come near to earning?Answer me this people. And if you can give me a good answer I might give you a cookie for being a regular Dr. Watson.
