Third degree ("severe") sprain after 15' fall on left ankle. Out-stepping 240 lbs of weight from 15' does not feel comfortable.

I think I've sprained my foot.
At first I was blaming it on water retention from surgical menopause...but I was wrong.
fuck!

I've sprained my ankle a dozen times at least.
Wrap that puppy tight with an ace-bandage, keep your weight off it for a few days, and take some aspirin for the pain. Sprains are painful as fuck.

dr. gave me "Naprasen" - antiinflammatory. It seems to work. I've iced it and I've wrapped it. As suggested.

I sprained my ankle about 2 months back. My foot was asleep, I got up to walk and the next thing I know my ankle is going out from under me. It hurt like hell, but then it was fine and I didn't really think about it, especially seeing as how I was quite boozed at the time.
The next morning I woke up and it hurt like hell! It was black and blue and had swelled so much I could hardly get my shoes on. It made Sauron's look tame :p.
POS was so worried he wanted to get me a taxi from his place to mine (which is a two minute walk) :). I laughed - turned out it wasn't such a bad idea though, as it took me quite a while to hobble home, even while clinging desperately to his arm.
It took a couple of weeks before I stopped hobbling, and is actually still giving me a bit of grief. Every now and then I'll have to start walking on tip toe to avoid it feeling like the ligament is about to be ripped in half.
Not something I want to have happen again any time soon.

The images were taken 2 weeks after the injury, and the swelling had gone down considerably.
I still couldn't wear a shoe for another month after this.
