Damn... As much as I so badly wanted to organize an intervention and spirit PB away to get her deprogrammed or at least give her the opportunity to sober up and realize what has happened...

I have to stifle my sarky self and say, YAY for the two of you.

I truly hope you have a happy life together.

I could stand on the soap box and come up with some serious sentiment.

I could give great wishes for the future.

I could tell you how happy I am for the both of you.

But there's only one thing on my mind....

Got the when (http://www.thehypertribe.net/forum/calendar.php?action=getinfo&eventid=36). What's the "where" and what to wear? Sid can put together a mean costume with little notice.

If we can't make it for the first one, the second one is still a promise.

NO BIB OVERALLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That's a terrible picture of the house. It's a beautiful old house, everything in it is antique. It's beautiful! The ceremony will actually take place in the back of the house in the yard which is very pretty, and there is a gazebo type of thing back there. very pretty, the reception with cake and all that, is in the house, which yes, is haunted. I'll look for a better picture of the house.

PB

p.s. Thank you all for the well wishes.

I was trying to find you something with a Better picture and a story behind the house. It was built in 1855 and was the first brick house built in Henderson. It's light yellow and has two floors plus the basement. The basement is off limits.
Someone has been shot in the house, the story says that two of the sons were in the basement cleaning their shotguns and one went off shooting the other son who was upstairs. There is a red stain in the wood upstairs in one of the bedrooms. Originally it was stated that he died in the house, but the lady that helps keep the house up, said there was a development last year that they are trying to find out if he actually died after the gunshot or not.

It is said that a female haunts the Howard Dickerson House but is not there to do harm. There was a wedding there not that long ago and the photographer said in some of the pictures there is an extra shadow that is there, but nothing to cause the shadow and there was nothing when the picture was taken. It's only in one particular place and said he's never had that show up on any other pictures that he has ever taken. She said there are several said sightings of her in one of the rooms on the left wing of the house upstairs, which is where the children slept. Also Sam Houston slept in one of those rooms, but I do not remembe which one. A lady who also survey's "haunted homes" has been to the house to check it out, and spent the day there with some type of equipment and ran tests on the house, she also concluded that the house was definetly haunted, but the spirit was not an evil one. I have heard of a wedding there where the bride supposedly saw her, but it was never completely confirmed. I'm just hoping that she doesn't come and mess with me that day, and I assure you that someone will remain with me at all times when I am upstairs in that house.

Just a little information for you!!! incase you wanted to know.

My son tells people, "my mommy is getting married in the Haunted-dickerson house" and when i went to pick my cake, he told the lady that I was going to need something spooky because of the ghost. lol.

More info here: http://www.hendersontx.com

Click on the link to tourism info, you will see a slightly better quality picture of the front of the house by selecting the "Howard-Dickerson House on the museums list.

Oh, by the way, don't get confused. Henderson is the county seat of Rusk county. Rusk is the county seat of Henderson county.

May what you feel at this moment never fade.

May her kiss forever make your heart leap from your chest and cry glory for that which it has beheld.

May the touch of his hand upon your skin always move you to your very soul.

May your passion burn eternal.

Congratulations.

Actually, that was very nice, RR. Mud and PB are wonderful folks that I've enjoyed for a few years in chat, and also had the opportunity to meet when they passed through town. I really do wish them the best. I enjoy marriage myself, it takes work sometimes, but nothing good is always easy.

Thank you all for the well wishes. The wedding is not an open invitation type of thing... If there are tribals that are interested in going, they are welcome but I would need to know about it.... There are several people from here that we have met and know personally that yes are invited and so forth. Plus I don't expect a bunch of people to come all the way to Texas to watch us get married. But if any one wants to, just let me know. :)

This is going to be quite the adventure....

btw: what are the honey moon plans?

infact, what is the scope and mood of this wedding?
a small family type wedding?
reception?
honeymoon?

or just a ceremony and go home to hide until monday?

cause I can make my own reception just about anywhere :p
