Don't think there is anyone south of us on the Texas coast, and all we are getting is some moderate rain and gusty winds. Nothing serious at all.

Not like 25 months ago with 48 inches of rain in about 36 hours.

Oh, and RR, don't brag on Oregon too much. Worst hurricane experience of my life was the night of the 12th of Oct and the day of the 13th, 1963. Just south of Molalla, Oregon, in the eastern fringes of the Willamette valley.

The Columbus Day storm demolished thousands of structures and knocked over tens of thousands of trees the length of the valley. Nobody had power or phones for over a week outside Portland, Salem, and Eugene.

Oh yeah, southern Oregon caught it to, not quite as badly.

I was not around then but if I remember correctly that was the year the big flood took out several bridges along the umpqua river system.

you are correct we do on rare occasion have bad shit happen here and when it gets bad it gets really bad. I am biased of course I grew up here. I travelled all over the states and most of the world and learned that Hot sucks hot and humid really sucks frigid fucking cold and snow all over the place eats goat ass. None of wich do I have to experience here very damned often.

knock on wood:D
