Not only did she graduate high school, she just got a kick-ass promotion with her own office at work.

Good work for my favorite J.A.P.

Is there some way to tell these recent stupid events from all the other stupid events that occur with great regularity?

(she got B's, I peeked)

i'm currently working at land rover with my father. and yes i've got my own desk (not office). the desk is a big deal though :P It's gigantic. and i've got my own computer. and they trust me with large sums of money. silly people.
so right now i've got a pretty good job which will hopefully turn into a good career. i've just got a lot of learning to do. luckily i'jm very willing to be taught all there is to know about the automotive industry :D

thanks for the kind words. i will keep everyone updated :)

Er, you get a big desk for one of two reasons.

1. Salary + Position
2. They plan on loading it down with grunt-work

You should quit before you get so pissed that you pocket portions of those "large sums of money" as a form of self-justified retaliation, shame your father's reputation and end up bunking with Martha Stewart.

Eh, who am I kidding. O.J. is probably setting up a tee time right now.

Serious. Best of luck and keep your head on straight.

I work w/ range rovers, discoverys, and freelander. (oh yes, and idiotic customer who have too much money)

I really don't have much grunt work believe it or not. ADP does most of the work for me. I answer more phone calls in a day than i think i've answered in the past year of my life. :x

What kind of calls? Finance? My shit is broken? You fucked me and I wanna know why? I’m stuck in the mud and don’t know what to do. My range rover is ugly, are there beautification kits available?

What are you handling?

Kayla

haha, pretty much all of the above. the people think that the first person to answer the phones is the person who can help them. i just transfer them to a) finance, b) service (where my dad works), c) sales or d) parts

If none of the above can help them...then they are likely beyond help. People only TALK to me if they need directions, other phone numbers for other stores, hours of operation etc.

Most of my real work is taking payments, closing out RO's, making key tags for new cars, filing.

But since i'm looking to work my way up. I'm going to be learning motor vehicle which is apparently a great thing to learn, albeit very difficult.
