Well, I know not alot of you really know alot about me, nor probably care... but Im asking for one little thing.
My big brother, Erik, is one of the few thats kept me (semi) sane the last few years... and just this week he was diagnosed with a brain tumor. He didnt tell me all the details, weither it was operatable or not.. but still, a brain tumor. Im scared shitless of loosing my big brother... So, Im asking if y'all would wish him luck or pray for him or... what ever... it would mean the world to me..
Thanks...
Cat

You're mistaken, first off, by thinking we don't care.
Cancer has always sucked in here.
Tell me about your brother. Circumstances, too, if you're somewhere that allows you to convey your emotions.

hmm...what to say about erik... hes 23, a collage student in cali' (I forget what school) a psychology major...when hes not in class, hes working at a top-rate bar in some country club (he has to wear a tux to work...*snicker*) hes usually very dependable and loyal... (he was with this girl for 11 years..Thats how loyal..) hes blind in one eye from nerve damage from a tattoo that was put WAY to close to his eye..hmm... hes lately been acting really odd... doesnt talk to me as much, leaving his friends...its hard to describe.. but hes with this REALLY bitchy girl that...ugh...dont get me going.... but hes always had cronic headaches... and he went on this little random disapearing spree (he does that now and then) and came back all messed up (called me at midnight, didnt know where he'd been, what he'd been doing, what time or day it was...) and I got all angry at him...so he calls me the other day..after a WONDERFUL day at school... and tells me "Ive got a brain tumor"... and me, being angry, was very gruff...I got so mad with myself afterwords for being angry too... *sigh*... anything you want to know about erik? ask away..Im willing to answer.. Im sorry that I assumed y'all dont care either...

Hoo boy. This is a tough one...
I get and understand the lack of contact. I have two older brothers, myself.
It sounds like you may think that your brother "did it to himself".
Could be.
You obviously love this young, 23-year-old man. Kudos for shedding some of it here.
If he truly does have a tumor, we'll see what we can do about showing you how to support him.
You help us guide you.

NRV - in the lack of certain knowledge about the nature of the brain tumor, and where it is located, all I can say is that my thoughts are with you and your brother.
I can tell you, from very recent personal experience, that cancer can be beaten. More importantly than that, in this venue, Tribals DO care. More than I know how to tell you, they care.

Nude-Rat, the most important thing is getting details before falling to pieces. Where is the tumor? Where is it attached and to what part? How far along is it? Is it malignant or benign? Sooo many questions and the answers will be given through tests. I’ve known several people who had brain tumors and are alive and well today. He’s young which helps the fight. Chin up, remain optimistic and be supportive. Tis the only thing you can do.
I’m very sorry to hear about your families misfortune and I wish you, your family and especially your brother the best and a quick recovery.
