in our short span of human life
we should seek only to cause no pain
and to possibly ease some once in a while.
this man will miss you,
wherever he's going.

Beloved goddess of pink parts.

I was here
but now I'm gone
I left my name
to turn you on
those who knew me
knew me well
those who don't
can go to hell.

Yesterday, the world lost a smile as I faded away from you. I was born in Utah to Mr. and Mrs. Director in 1970. Oh, what a wonderful life they gave me and I want to tell them thank you.
I received a degree from the University, but learned a great deal more through living an adventurous life. I travelled the country in search of life with a band of best friends that I will miss dearly. My true friends will rejoice in my life and not be burdened with my passing. Those who are still living were by my side to the end.
I have left upon this Earth my father and his wife, who was as great a mother as I could ever have wanted. Also surviving are my sister and the two wonderful neices that gave me reasons to be a better person. I love them with the kind of love that even my passing cannot restrain. I hope that I have had an influence on their lives that will make them smile a little wider and see the colors of the world a little brighter.
"Someday, when we meet up yonder, we'll go hand-in-hand again."
Thank you for this wonderful life.

When I am dead, my dearest
Sing no sad songs for me
Plant thou no roses at my head
Nor shady cyprus tree
Just be the green grass above me
With showers and dewdrops wet;
And if thou wilt, remember,
And if thou wilt, forget

In memory of Stuart Lord

Life is a fragile state, and Stuart liked to break things. A funeral is only a memory of life, so in memory of himself, Stuart would like for all of you to get absolutely hammered. In his testament, he ordered for all his possessions to be sold in order for this funeral to be catered for in the very best way. The bar is open, friends.

Once upon a time, this was an assignment given to us in a composition class. The intent was not to forecast our own death or write our own eulogy.

If memory serves:

1. What will you do with your life?
2. What will others write about you when your life is over?
3. Summarize points 1 and 2 as if written as an obituary.

As Rogue so graciously described, I chose to stick around for more than a thousand years and perish in an accident.

There's no need to be accurate with this assignment. None of us can see the future but we can see the present, our goals (or lack thereof), and use imagination to bring them all together.

I chose to ignore how things are and decided to write of how I would want things to be.

I got an A. Yay for me.

Try it. Death will get us all eventually. Someone you don't know will summarize your life in a paragraph in a newspaper. What would you like it to say?
