I've always thought that it should be tested somehow. Looks like the doors of the thinktank have broken open (http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&ncid=578&e=1&cid=578&u=/nm/20030411/ts_nm/iraq_dc).

The notion of anarchy that so many embrace is cradled in the arms of a misconception. Anarchists assume that chaos will organize itself.

Welcome to Entropy.

So what, people expceted the general public to behave themselves with no apparent leader? It had been made clear to the people that US and British troops weren't there to conqor them, they were there to liberate them. Iraq has no leader at the moment, no one to set the laws, and enforce them. Of course there will be caos for a little while. Things will slow down, and it will stop, but not until they have someone enforcing consiquences.

Actually, I'm being much more general. Anarchy is (A) failure. That's just my opinion.

(Edit: Amazing how one letter can make such a difference.)

I find anarchist "groups" hilarious.

Anarchy cannot succeed. Not because it fails, but because it can't exist. Even among two people there is one who takes a leadership roll and one who follows.

Anarchy and chaos will organize itself. We have seen it happen historically. But, what many fail to realize is that chaos, once organized, will be a far sight worse than anything they have imagined. Bring on the rise of the ruthless despot, etc, et al ad infintum.

But we just got rid of one such despot- some will say. My response: there are many many others who would love a chance to rule.

So I will just sit here and wave my my flag with the golden apple of discord. If anyone has ever read Robert Anton Wilson...

There will be some chaos for a bit no doubt about it.

Those people are like 16 year olds who just got their drivers lisences and dad gave them the keys to the Ferrari.
