margaritas and pork ribs

I don't eat meat, I don't drink Tequila and I don't talk to my mother in law, but I'll be damned if I'm staying out of a thread with loads and loads of beer in it.

Last night I got to go have margaritas and pork ribs at my mother-in-laws house.

She divorced my wife's father many moons ago.
She has never had a job.
She's done just about evry bad thing I can think of.
She has had a long string of crappy boyfriends and 2 more husbands since then.
One husband beat her and her kids and one was a realy nice guy who was very old and last year (june) he died.
Afterwards she moved from Utah to TX was given a place to live, car, etc.
A month or so later she met a guy whose wife was in the hospitol dieing of cancer at the time.
The wife died and my M-I-L and this guy are now living together.

So...
She's 50 he's 60
Both have lost a spouse with in a few months of "getting together"

How fucked up does this sound to you?
Or does it at all?

This may sound awful, but I think that at that age it isn't exactly like you have a lot of options to explore. Let them be.

I think as long as shes happy nothing is wrong with it. In her last 20 or someodd years of her life doesnt she deserve to be happy
