I'm horrified, mortified and shake-my-head-afied...

I can't believe that there aren't many NHL fans...

That's horrible...what a loss.

What if we made it a little more interesting and added snakes to the game...we could make them the refs..they would sure do a better job than what we got now

And will someone (who know's hockey) please tell me why the fuck Tucker got 5 games for rushing the bench but Tkuchuk (the buttfuck) only got 4 games for a blatent cross check across the neck????

Fuck...

Fuck... Wtf are you going on about?

Hockey ain't a game, it's a barely controlled small riot on ice.

See Barbie...I learned way back that sports is not nessissarliy a topic good to discuss here. See...some of them just think they're stupid, some of them don't think they're "sports" and if you get one that enjoys it like you do, they obviously cheer for a different team anyway.

I myself am a big hockey fan. I don't know why one got 5 and one 4...but it probably has much the same as why Lemuex got 3 playoff games for boarding Draper in `96, but McCarty got nothing (cept a 2 min minor) for jumping Lemuex every chance he got.

or Suter getting 9 games on Kariya...

And then theirs the mcsorley/brasher incident.

:)

Anyway - most computer nerds aren't jocks anyways.

PS. I'M KIDDING ON THAT COMMENT

That is so very very sad V.

I can't believe that the jocks are girls...WOMEN.
And the boys are "pansy's"...

what is this world coming too?

hmmm...run by women?

Hey, we already run the show.

I only talk racing (of any sort) and boxing. Anything else is just uncivilized.

PS--I like to watch hockey from time to time but like all sports, I just don't get all worked up about any of it.

Barbie

boxing is civilized?

hockey is a pretty violent sport, but it takes agility, grace, stamina, speed and grit to play.
Perhaps the same can be said about boxing? :)

how come you don't get all worked up about it? Sports doesn't pump your adreniline?

Organized team sports, all of them, are a total waste of my time.

Some individual sports I enjoy watching, as I enjoyed participating in years past.

No sport of any kind matches the exhiliration of setting a personal goal and acheiving it, whether that be a physical acheivement or a mental one.

Give me tickets to any sporting event of any kind and I'll scalp them to some fool who wants to waste the money and time.

We have an AHL team here ( the Grizzlies ) and I love watching games. I tend not to watch pro sports of any kind. I like the local farm-team baseball and the AHL games because the players make errors, they aren't perfect and that makes the games more fun to watch.

And there's ALWAYS hot women at the hockey games.

Hehe, no, boxing is about as civilized as running over old people in the mall parking lot.

But, I love it. :D

Boxing:

Violent--check

Agiltiy--check (in some weight classes)

Grace--Well, some of them have it. Some seem to almost dance as they beat the shit out of the other guy. :p

Stamina--You ain't just whistleing dixie.

Speed--Almost a necessity. One can hit like a horse kicks but you have to be fast enough to land a punch. You also have to be fast enough to avoid being hit.

Grit--Have you seen Mike Tyson?

Adreniline--Yes, you betcha. Watching drag racing on TV is dull, does nothing for me, it's all too short. However, being there, watching, listening, feeling the pow'r....woohoo!.

Nascar on TV is best, I watch and go "ooh, ooh" "ohhhh" "that son-of-a-bitch!" "damn"...etc. Being there is like "huh?" "what's going on?"

Worked up--Here's the thing:

Whether it be my favorite college team (GO WOLFPACK!) in basketball, football or whatever, whether it be Nascar (where I have my favorites) or Drag Racing (I have my favorites too), Boxing, maybe even Hockey, Golf, etc, etc, etc....Just because I don't like someone or some team but they win, I won't bad mouth them just because they've done so. In Nascar, especially in these parts, you go back to work on Monday and hear "that Jeff Gordon is a faggot" or "that Dale Earnhart Jr. cheated, I know he was cheating!".......Basketball, Football etc--"those ref's gave those guys the game...."

Bah, in a game or sport, you have winners and loosers, I just prefer give each and everyone credit for what they've accomplished whether I like it or not. I refuse to get all worked up about any of it and just sit back and enjoy the show. ;)

I think that I have alot of testosterone racing through my blood...

I love sports...playing is better than watching.

I play Hockey, Soccer, SPN (slow pitch) - you know...beer league.

I think that anything that can get you out of the house and keep you physically and mentally fit, is awesome..

Actually, anything that keeps you happy, keeps you alive longer.

Do what you love.

And yet, not a word in here about the playoffs. What with Detroit loosing to Anahiem, being swept no less...I would figure there might be a little talk.

GO AVS!!!

Anaheim has a hockey team? That makes about as much sense as the Jamaicans having a bobsled team. And doesn't even offer comic relief.

Professional sports are terminally boring.

Venus

Simon, not only does Anaheim have a hockey team, so does LA, San Jose, Tampa Bay, and just a general "Florida" team. Texas has one, maybe two...I think Huston got one this year or the last. I'm rather glad for professional sports.

I'm SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO happy that Detroit is out! (Sorry Rage) - just get Dallas out of there and we're home sweet home baby!

The Naslund, Bertuzzi line is doing SHIT ALL.

I agree - that little guy Parke from Minnisota is someone to watch out for.
And it was BAD goal.

I mean, Roy went down to his butterfly, and AS USUSAL, couldn't close his legs behind him fast enough.

I'm nervous for them...if they don't go on...I'm rooting for Minnisota, because I'm pretty sure Vancouver isn't going on (St. Louis is going to win this) -

ahhhhhh

I have faith in the Avs, we're used to this situation....
However, I'm not sure I'm gonna be able to watch it...My little girl will be trying to sleep, and I'll be trying to stay quiet.......help.

Make hockey interesting. Explosive pucks set to detonate after a random number of impacts. Would make the goalie's job MUCH more entertaining to watch, and might prompt the idiots in the front row seats to stay back from the barrier a bit.

WHAT HAPPENED TO YOUR FAITH VENUS!!!

Holy Shit - Minnisota @ Vancouver!!!

Brings very new meaning to "Fedorov is all over the arena tonight!"
