"Do we, as humans ever know what to do, or do things just happen to happen at just the right time?"
-Solstice_Gray
that was said here (http://www.thehypertribe.net/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=7695) and it is, totally, its own topic.
I am not sure how to start it off fairly, but I'll kick the ball towards your end of the field and we'll see what happens.
"fate" "free will" & "karma" seem to be standard cliche so beware using them here for qualifiers, as they may be turned against you.
Its a fact that we cannot consciously affect the outcome of certain events. (avalanches, floods, earthquakes, etc) Its highly questionable how to measure our very effect on the infinite variables that lead up to most things in the universe. (a butterfly flaps its wings, yada yada yada bad weather)
But I tend to believe that everything you do has an effect and lends to those infinite variables.
From the weather to love to luck to the amount of time you have to live in this body you can only, truely, consciously, choose your effects on part of it. But that, like all else decides how you perceive the parts you cannot affect.
I'll leave my opinion at that till a few others get to chime in.
