You will do one of two things.

A: Bask in the glory of your welcome and call it a task well done

2. Risk making an ass of yourself and finding out that your effort and thought is worth the trouble

III. Go back to what you were doing

Simon Said that there's a lot of good stuff in the archives.

Go ahead and read.

Don't forget to come up for air.

I must say I've been as pleased with the recent newbies as I ever have been. Barbie, ruca, simiantics, Solstice_Gray, even boats. Excellent stuff. (hope I didn't miss anyone) Prolly did though.....damnit.

Still kinda waiting on this guy though---->hygiliac

Rock on newbies AND the oldies.

For the oldies are newbies to the newbs. Ahah!

i said hygiliac was slow, didnt i?
hes been working on a post for two weeks now.
actually, he does alot of reading. he only posts when its something he feels strongly about, and then it takes him two days to think of what to post.
then it takes him 2 hours to type a paragraph or two.
he goes in chat some. usually he dictates to me and i type.
anyway, be assured. hes around.

You people (if you'll allow me to call you that) are all so crazy and nice.

I hope that one day, when I'm an oldie, but a goodie, and not a newbie, I have the same outlook as all of you. :)

Whatever that may be. :)

It was getting a bit stuffy in here without all of the new people that have showed up. It's a welcome addition and I hope they stay for a while.

Welcome home.

Why would anyone want to do that?

I find the whole concept of work to be repugnant.

Work? I used to do that, and I suppose I really ought to do that again soon. Got a job offer?

Barbie
01-30-2003, 04:31 PM
What are you qualified to do?

SimpleSimon
01-30-2003, 04:52 PM
Hmmm - well, a variety of things. I used to be a pretty good marketing director/lab supervisor for a biotech firm. I am a fully qualified grief/trauma counselor with lots of experience in group therapy settings, and related experience working with sex-offenders. I can make anyone answer my questions, if given the latitude to utilize the available technology, but I quit doing that fairly recently. I am an experienced presenter of educational seminars, and have written a lot of technical guides and manuals in a highly specialized field.

Mostly, I'm a 47 year old bum, who declines to continue working in the field in which my greatest expertise lies. Think I'll look for a telemarketing job.

I can just imagine Simon getting old ppl cornered on the phone all day

Simon:
Hello I'm with the Federal Dept of Household Balancing, our satellittes show that your house is VERY out of balance which creates a sever centrifugal problem in our fight against terrorism. We'd like to help you rearrange your furniture and appliances for reasons of national security. If you'll just let me send you some literature we can show you the safest most secure way to arrange your furniture against terrorists and save you 12% on your purchases on your credit card for the month of march.

Barbie

Life is hard. Life is very hard...
Breathing is hard to do too...
I don't suggest trying to breath and live at the same time.
That's just double hard. ;)

ms. bing, are these your puppies I'm looking at one screen???'
BECAUSE THEY ARE DAMN CUTE!

Work? Does being a serial student count?

SimpleSimon
01-30-2003, 09:51 PM
Well, better a serial student than a cereal student, like Torque.

MuffyTheVampyreLayer
01-30-2003, 09:55 PM
Yah, but I bet Torque makes more money than me :p

those are my puppies! not the newest ones though, you can view those in d&d.
the one in my avatar is ani. shes about six and a bit neurotic. the other one is majick. shes 3 and the new puppies are hers.
my doggies taught me all i needed to know about life...
its good to be able to lay on the couch all day, and to thank my lucky stars everyday that i can use indoor plumbing.
