---------------------
Q: Who decides on the ratings for movies?

A: Movies are rated by the film rating board of the Classification and Rating Administration, a group of parenting men and women. Their job is to review each film, then discuss and vote on its rating based on what most American parents would consider appropriate.

Q: Are movies required to be rated?

A: Submitting a film is a voluntary decision made by the filmmaker; however, most producers do submit their films for rating. Please note that the classifications and Rating Administration rating symbols are trademarked and may not be self-applied by the filmmaker
-----------------------

so off to www.filmratings.com (http://www.filmratings.com/) to see the Classification And Rating Administration

go read the Q&A section.

I really hoped to find alist abou thow many ass thrusts you could show in a PG movie verses a R movie

these things could be useful, you know.

What an odd system you have for rating your movies. Who decides whether a movie should be banned?

I am assuming movies in NZ are rated. How is it done there?

You can always tell when new generations take place in that administration. What is PG today was R yesterday.

I like when older movies are re-rated. What was R thirty years ago is now G.

The film and video classifications authority does it. Movies are rated/banned according to how violent or obscene they are, with a movie only being banned if it is so violent or obscene that it would offend the general population.

and action and adventure, comedy, documentary, drama, horror, sci fi, fantasy, comedic dramas.........

I also remember watching Urban Cowboy when I was in high school and my mother saw the movie PG rating on the screen as it was coming on HBO. She laughed outloud so I asked what was so funny. She explained to me that when it had first came out it almost got an X rating but ended up with an R. It's controversy was over it having John Travolta's bare ass in it.

where are tits?
I watch damn near every movie that comes out now a day at the theater and on DVD and i see almost NO tits...ever

infact, you have a better chance of seeing a guys naked butt than a womans in most action movies right now

whats th elast new movie you saw with naked tits in it that wasn't a love scene in a romance flick or a disgusting sex scene in a thriller? I can think of two....wild things (those where nice tits) and thomas crown affair (those where NOT nice tittys)

for god's sake....american pie didn't have a female nipple exposed in it

meanwhile go hit the oldies but goodies, conan, mad max, 48 hours, all the porkys, the first revenge of the nerds, friday the 13th

Everything had some chics naked tits in the 80's.

except star wars...hmmmmm

I've been doing some reflecting and you know, you are correct, it is pretty hard to find tits in anything but those "B" movies nowadayz.

Apparently you saw an edited version because the version I saw had Shannon Elizabeth's headlights and they looked pretty damn bare especially around the nippular area.

And the only point I was trying to make from the beginning was how some movies no longer carry the same rating they did when first approved many years ago. I was only saying that movies today that carry PG would've carried an R 20 or so years ago.

How did we get started on the "tit" thing anywayz?

What's on your mind boi?! :p
