I have a co-worker that likes to ride motorcycles. He has the leather jacket and pants and all the other "flair" that is required to ride his Harley up and down the highway. Although he is what I consider a R.U.B. ( rich urban biker ) he is pretty hardcore about his motorcycle club. He's not your typical 1% biker. He belongs to a club that actually does some good for their community. He invited me along to a fund raiser they had last week and I found myself giving significantly.

The group is very active in many states including Utah and chances are they will be coming to your neighborhoods soon. So, next time you hear the rumble of bikes in your street, go to the window and see who should be afraid.

Read the link and tell me what you think.

Bikers Against Child Abuse (BACA) exists with the intent to create a safer environment for abused children.

Cool.

We stand at the ready to shield these children from further abuse. We do not condone the use of violence or physical force in any manner, however, if circumstances arise such that we are the only obstacle preventing a child from further abuse, we stand ready to be that obstacle.

Rock on.

The BACA members never go to the child’s house alone and never without the knowledge or permission of the parents.

:eyebrow:

How are you going to be effective if the parents don't give you permission to stop by before they beat the fuck out of their children?

It's a cover up type thingie that you are reading. And I speak from (kinda) actually knowing.

Let me start with saying that a (what use to be) close friends dad was a member of the Wayne County GhostRiders (GhostRiders are nation wide). They ARE a hardcore bike gang without the violence you see on TV. I use to hang out at their clubhouse when I was in high school. Beer, liquor, bitches (as they called them), pool, darts and music.

Please note, if you are in a biker clubhouse and one of their wives starts to hit on you, leave. Do not stay and smile, do not ignore her, just leave. You'll be in better shape later.

Every year at different times of the year they have all kinds of charity works in place. It's great stuff and really odd to see such "rugged" looking creatures doing such good deads. They have a huge toy drive every year before x-mas and I have taken part in that one twice.

I have never actually seen it, only heard the stories of the after math, but they too participate in B.A.C.A. I have heard stories (at the club house) of where there was a confirmed child abuser that they knew about. They cautiously planned what to do. They wouldn't just go into the house but they would "investigate" the abusers everyday schedule, where he/she was at at what time of day. At an oppertune or planned momment, they would jump them. No shit. From what I understand, if the abuser was female then the women jumped her (not the men) and vica versa. I've heard chilling stories of at least two who got the snot beat of them and it was made clear to the abuser why this was happening to them.

I condone it, I love it when people step up to the plate such as these guys/gals do.

Rock on guys.
