So.. I'm interested to hear Where are you in the world of relationships? ANd I'd like to know a bit about your significant other if that's alright.... I know some of the best posts on this board have been about the significant others in our lives.. so please... show me your heart...

Her name is Dana.

She teaches lazy highschool students the joys of literature.

I love her.

I'm single and have never been married. I am considered "over the hill" as far as being a single male in Utah. I am currently between significant others and it's a toss up as to if I enjoy it or am lonely. The World is my oyster, but have found that eating oysters is somewhat of a team sport.

Um...well. Dating, maybe somewhat committed. We've agreed we're not seeing anyone else, but there's not nessissarily any long term plans. Just taking it a weekend at a time. If it lasts for a while great. If not, fine.
He's in the military, airforce actually, but getting out next month. I have no idea what exactly he does, but to put it easily, he flies satilites. Easily the sweetest guy I've ever met.

What exactly is considered over the hill for a single male in Utah?

Just curious./..

Single, never married nor intention of getting married. Never really had a GF for that matter. I am always too damn busy hopscotching around from place to place to have time for a SO. From alot of the stories ya'll post here, not sure I want a SO either. Seems to be more of a hastle than a help.

While the national average age of males to get married is 32, the average in Utah is 24. Female average age of marriage in Zion is 22.

Marriage--been there done that. And I don't regret atleast getting that experience.

Committed--I just like to talk royal shit. :):D

If there ever was such a thing as a goddess, Jojo is it. Full time job, makes decent money, goes to school at night, constant homework, puts up with my shit, has to deal with family matters, does most of our finances and book keeping, etc. Although I do most of the house keeping and some of the cooking to help her out, she still does more than her part regardless of the "slack" I try to pick up without complaint. She truly is a wonderful person all the way around.

I love her, I can't help it. :)

I see a diamond in her future. Does that make me a psychic or psychotic? :p

Married. And I think it's a fine plan.

She's witty, bright, creative, and a wonderful mom. We dated for 6 years, and she didn't run away, or make me run away. We've been married 4 years in December.

Look! She's eating cat poop!

It's a catbox cake, with green graham cracker litter on the top, and twisted tootsie roll cat poop.

Win!

Getting the recipe is difficult enough. Having a partner that "gets it" is harder, still.

Add some Grape Nuts for texture.

Yup. That did my heart a lot of good :)

Susan’s Deep Shit Cookie Recipe
Kitty Litter Cookies
From: http://www.microserve.net/~dave/poopcook.html

This cookie recipe comes in two flavors: Chocolate and Gingerbread

Chocolate Ingredients:
½ Cup honey
2/3 Cup (1 & 1/3 stick) butter, margarine, or lard
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla or peppermint extract
2 cups whole wheat flour
1/3 cup cocoa powder
Grape-Nuts ™ cereal

Gingerbread Ingredients
¼ cup honey
¼ cup molasses
2/3 cup (1 & 1/3 stick) butter or margarine, or lard
1 egg
2 and 1/3 cups whole wheat flour
Spices: ginger, cinnamon, cloves to taste (approx ½ tsp each)
Grape-Nuts ™ cereal

Mix-Ins
Coconut (tapeworms)
Chocolate chips
Butterscotch chips
Peanut Butter chips
Cooked spaghetti or ramen noodles (roundworms)
Corn
Peanuts
M&Ms ™
"Those puffy pastel things you find at Chinese restaurants" (shrimp chips – to look like the cat ate Styrofoam packing pellets)

Directions
Microwave the honey until it bubbles (about 1 minute)
Add the butter, and molasses, if any.
Add the egg.
Mix well, then mix in all the other stuff.
Add mix-ins of your choice to some or all of the batter.
Chill 1 hour in the freezer or several hours in the fridge.
Roll dough logs of random length and the diameter of cat poops. Roll logs in Grape-Nuts and bake at 350 degrees until done (approximately 10-15 minutes) Larger poops may take up to 20 minutes.

Serve in a disposable cat litter box on a bed of Grape-Nuts cereal, with a cat litter scoop.
Additional effects can be created by decorating the box and scoop with melted chocolate or pudding and adding plastic flies to the table decorations.

And YES, goddamit! It's relevant!

I'm guessing I should answer my own question as well.. but I would imagine most know the answer..

I'm single... was not made that way by choice.. but it is getting better...

I have many men in my life... that hold a place in my heart.. just they are all friends.. nothing more and nothing less.

There is one man in my life whom I really enjoy his company.. but at this point is a bit impossible...

I often think a wounded heart blinds you from alot of things as well though...

So I'm single. .. but looking forward to many nights of bliss in the arms of someone amazing. Looking forward to that gaze... and that smile where you don't remember why you are smiling.. you just are... I look forward to being scared of what it could do to me... I'm looking forward to making new memories to stick with me other than the ones i have now that haunt my heart daily.. I'm really looking forward to an over active sex life.... ha. (atleast i'm honest)

I look forward to being loved... and I am trying to welcome the desire i now have to let that happen!

A friend of mine calls me the "wounded Angel of Hearts" - I think it suits quite well.....
