I'm seeing a pattern here. First diamonds, now chocolate.
Once the horrible truth about roses and greeting cards comes out we may finally have a valid excuse for forgetting anniversaries and Valentine's Day.
It's tarnished but it's silver lining nonetheless.

I wonder who made the stupid rule of having to buy chocolates and diamonds on Valentines day. Anyways, correct me if I am wrong for I am naive to this relationship thing, if you are involved with a a person you deeply love, shouldn't everyday be a valentines day?
Where do I stand on this issue? I dunno anymore, I just dont know. It just seems every little thing people take for granted, seem to adversly affect someone elses life. If I thought about all the things that are trival that may or may not be contributing to the suffering and deaths of others, I would go nut. And really, I would cry, but I lack the feelings to do so.
I am not some anti WTO, anti-APEC, blah-blah advocate of anykind. The fact is that this is just blatantly evil. Its like a slap in the face. 50% of the worlds chocolate.....

MMMM... Their blood is tasty...
I'm NOT going to feel guilty for other peoples bad behaviour, I already feel bad enough about my own!
We eat the chocolate.
They pick the cocoa.
Why is it more profitable to use a slave than a tractor?
Why would you use people who have to be fed and housed (even in the worst conditions) rather than a piece of equipment that only needs a shed big enough to cover it and a little maintainence?
Because they can't buy a tractor.
They don't have decent roads.
They can't go to the bank and finance a truck and trailer to haul the tractor field to field.
They can't count on making a good crop every year through irrigation.
They can't own a nice house without loosing it in war.
They can't be successful with out loosing what they have to the corrupt officials of their gov't.
Why is that?
HHhhhhhhmmmmmmmm.......
