For those of you around the world who don't keep up with American Football
Troy Aikman (the quarter back for the dallas cowboys for the last 12 years) has retired.
He's had multiple concussions.
I was listening to the radio when his speech came on. he talked for 90 minutes and balled his head off. he rambled through all the shit he'll miss, so on and so forth.
He reminisced about old times and friends he watched retire before him.
Blah Blah Blah
Whennit was all done I felt sorry for him for about 30 seconds and then I said
"Hey! I wish I could work for 12 years and retire a fucking Multi-millionaire with a new high-profile sports casting job."
Am I wrong here?
Here's a guy who went to UCLA for FREE for 4 years because he was good at football. He barely missed winning the Heisman Trophy and was the #1 draft pick in the entire US in 1989. He was the starting QB for the Dallas Cowboys for 12 years and has 3 fucking Superbowl rings.
He acts like the guys from NFL Films will never be sitting in his living room begging for him to do a documentary on his life.
They do documentarys on Presidents and Business men after they DIE.
He gets royaltys on all the shit with his face and jersey # on it.
Every kid in America wishes they were him.
But he's sad.
I feel no sympathy for a successful, rich, 30 something year old man with a healty family and a bright future who got to live out a lifetime of football dreams.
Not one fucking tear.

Don't shake the devil's hand and say you're only kidding.
