This is something of an experiment.

I don't drink much alcohol. I'm pretty much a social drinker and I don't like to get totally hammered. I'm something of a control freak and being blitzed out of my mind on booze is quite unsettling for me. I do, however, like to have a few drinks in social situations. Well, the social situations are few and far between and the beer in my fridge has been sitting there way too long. Tonight, I'm drinking. How much? I won't know until I decide to stop.

Right now, I'm on beer number 4 and I'll admit to feeling the first effects of a buzz coming on. Yes, my tolerance level is that low, due to my infrequent drinking habits. Back in my glory days (i.e. high school/college) it would take the better part of a 12 pack to get me feeling the effects of alcohol. Now six or seven beers will have me totally buzzed.

Anyway, I'm going to drink a lot of beer tonight, hang out in irc and post in this thread from time to time to report whatever thoughts I have while in an alcohol induced haze.

Truth be known, I'm kind of down in the dumps over a few things and I welcome the distraction of inebriation.

Where is my buddy Asmodeus? A few more beers and I'll be ready to kick his pansy ass. That goes for SLH too! :p

Alcohol supresses the body's anti-diuretic hormone. That's why you have to pee so much when you drink.

MUDFLAP! KEEP DRINKING!!

I like getting blitzed from time to time as the availability of booze around here is questionable at best. :p

I lost track after like beer quart #15 and that liter of scotch.

I remember everything. I cut myself off before the memory centers were incapcitated.

Drinking alone is not something I will do as a matter of habit.
