i think his works are some of the most fascinating pieces of art ever created. If you don't know the story...He used to carve some his pictures backwards on wooden blocks and then press them on paper. Many of his drawings are to show relativity and to put 3d and 2d in the same drawing (like inthe pictures above) I have one of his drawings in my living room and its a great conversation piece (drawing hands) what do you think of him? or who's your favorite artist?

It is impossible for the inhabitants of different worlds to walk or sit or stand on the same floor, because they have differing perceptions of what is horizontal and what is vertical. Yet they may well share the use of the same staircase. On the top staircase illustrated here, two people are moving side by side and in the same direction, and yet one of them is going downstairs and the other upstairs. Contact between them is out of the question because they live in different worlds and therefore can have no knowledge of each other's existence. (thats from a website)

<FONT COLOR="limegreen"> M.C. Escher along with picasso and salvador dali, are some of my favorite artists. I like Escher because of how much he makes you think about the piece. Each one of his works is so unique and mindboggling it is hard not to enjoy it.
This is a link to his official site. (http://www.mcescher.com/)
Another good site. (http://www.worldofescher.com/gallery/)
My personal favorite. I think this one is the best of all the sites I've seen. (http://www.geocities.com/SoHo/Museum/3828/)
