Makes sense...
You speak of interesting things, Rogue.
I suppose we shall throw Santa in the mix?
Halloween, a day that used to be All Saints Day, a day where people would dress of as Saints, now is a day for people to dress up as the devil, monstres, and Britney Spears.
Is this honestly just an American thing? Or do other countries have Easter Bunnies?

Now Britney Spears running around leaving eggs and Pepsi at everyones house one night per year.......that would be a story worth telling. http://www.thehypertribe.net/ubb/wink.gif

My flat mate's daughter thinks that god is the adult version of santa clause. Because neither one really exists, only adults can't have santa because they are not allowed presents.
An agnostict in the making.
I wonder if she mistakes "can't be seen" with "isn't there"
That one still gets me....
but my philosophy is all fucked up.

Upon a closer inspection, there is a bit of a reason to associate eggs with rebirth. The fact that an egg seems to have NO life in it, and given time, out comes a small creature, all alive and full of goodness. It's just another one of the things that Chirstianity robbed form all the pagan beliefs. I'm pretty sure that this aint what you wanted from this thread, but I had to pop off with a bit of trivia about the holiday.

Easter eggs represent so much of modern Easter, look good and taste nice on the outside, but so HOLLOW when you get into it. And don't anyone give me crap about cream eggs or whatever. You know what I mean. It's so full of crap. At least Christmas has the "its not the recieving, its the giving" stuff, even if no-one listens. Jesus was crucified, died and was resurrected three days later. That should be the focus of easter. If you are a pagan, then don't celebrate it. Because you bring judgement down upon yourself.

Bring judgement down upon myself? OK, just how does that work? Could not a great many things bring the same level of judgement "down upon me"? Like say, if I were to make the exclaimation that I was a christian in a room full of pagans? Generally speaking, doing that would set you firmly on the outside of the group of people, making it more than a wee bit difficult to be a part of any conversation being had.
All I'll say is, if I'm too be judged, let it be for a better reason than the fact that i call it Yoster, while some others dont.
