I, personally, agree with the punishment. They beat a teacher? Flog their silly asses publicly so as to punish them and deter it from happening by other students.

their justice system (what little I know of it) is one of the few things I admire about the culture. Steal some shit lose a hand. Public deterrence or not, that particular fellow will have a much more difficult time stealing again.

While I'm at it get rid of lethal injection.

I love how it throws in that part about human rights groups...they are just plain stupid. Would it be better for 8 children to be made examples of, or for their nation to be continually made victim of public shootings in schools?

If we had harsher public punishment over hear, kids wouldn't think about bringing a gun to school.
