Kurt Cobain is a legend no doubt about that. Like Christ once said no band is special. Although i’m not sure about that anymore. Kurt Cobain began to be a special part of many lifes. I never expect a band could reach my mind like they did. Although i never heard of them before Kurts death , it’s like , will think people like Kurt because he commited suicide. Before Kurts suicide the band was populair already but after his death people began to think and began to listen to his lyrics not only his music. I can remember people saying Smells like teen Spirit was the first song that’s being excepted by older people. When the song became a hit it was released almost everywhere one the radio’s.One hit wonder? Maybe so but not for some people ,. It made the band populair and they’ve hit the road for months with their touring. Kurt thought his fans where fake all becoz of SLTS , he ignored the media a lot. I wouldn’t understand why it became a hit Kurt has made many other good songs but people listen to the media a lot these days. Stereo typing has began to be a populair thing. Less people began to look for the small beginning bands.” There are so many good bands out there they just have to be discovered by the record label industry “ Kurt said. He was right although it never really happened not until today. I always looked at many outcoming bands after i knew Nirvana.
First hearing Nirvana’s video clip on a Dutch music channel. I was amazed i couldn’t understand the lyrics yet but the sound of that mans voice was powerfull and it made me shiver. Lithium , SLTS and sliver all shown on tv. Amazed as i was i turned it off , visitin relatives darn i wanted to see more. I didn’t knew it was a special broadcoast about Kurts death. I was sitting in the train and thought about the song lithium “ i’m so happy so cause today i’ve found my friends they’re in my head “. Just like i felt at times noone would listen to me so i kept talking to myself like my mind is my only friend. On th next few days i bought one of their albums Muddy Banks of the wishkah. Listened to it day or night couldn’t stop hearing it. One day i told my friend about the band , his reply was yeah i own one of there albums. It’s pretty said the lead singer commited suicide what a dumbass. After those days i knew of his suicide i was angry and sad at times. My mind was spinning couldn’t keep my thoughts away from the band from him. But it’s just a rockstar , i couldn’t make up my mind if i was beginning to be obsessed or not.
