I need to know wtf you use, so as to make THT hospitable to the majority....otherwise some of you would be scrolling, and others would be wondering why the hell the forum's so small.

So, do me a favor and select what ya got.

I get your intent but I can be convinced to change resolution with good reason.

Keep it the way it is.

Well, here's the quandary:

I'ma redesign the forum templates and all that shite whenever I have all the various upgrades and modifications...but if you run a low res (read: 800x600 and below) I gotta pack EVERYTHING into a smaller lateral area. In addition graphics and such must be designed for one res and then adapted for the rest...which is why I'm just attempting to find out what the majority uses and set the shite up for that.

my experience says its best to design for 1024.

Ok, I just switched mine to 1024 x 680 from 800 x 600, and I must say IT SUCKS. My video card is behind the times and doesn't support 1024 x 680 worth shite.

I'll probably be back to the old settings before too long.

I dunno what reso it is now man but I like it. It fit's my screen and stuff. I'm 800x600 by the way.

actually, screw what i said before.

design for 800x600. this is an information source, and for us to all keep in contact. make sure everyone can at least see the site well.

using tables like they are setup now, is great. because you have it set by percentages. it looks fine on anything 800x600 and up.

we dont need bells and whistles. we dont need cool sigs. we dont need nifty avatars.

this forum need only be read, not necessarily ogled at.

content is central to this forum. if it was ascii text on a BBS, it'd be just as interesting as if it was as aesthetically pelasing as the parthenon itself.

if you would be so kind as to drop a 1152 and above, and increase 800x600 by 1, itd be much appreciated... --since i cant change my vote.

Those cool sigs and nifty avatars is where some of my money went.

Besides, that isn't even the issue or concern.

besides, if it was ascii on a bbs, we wouldn't get to see such wonderful things as the stoned chipmunk.

i currently use 2048x768 (duel vga running a single virtual desktop to both 19" Trinitron monitors) i can't stand this single vga pipeline, gonna rip this card out prolly tonight and just install two separate vid cards.

so technically i run 1024x768 to each monitor

must be interesting to watch your mouse cursor jump 3 inches when you cross the edge between the monitors......
