Well, the puter is screwed. I have a few options:

1. use it for a frisbee(very tempting)

2. send it home and see if someone can fix it- or use it as a frisbee

3. try to sell it here- which means someone else will use it for a frisbee

4. try to get it fixed here- if it is the motherboard it will be cheaper to buy a new puter, if it is the hard drive itself- see number 1.

5. see if I can get ahold of the Sony peoples in the US, see if they can either fix it, or give me a trade in so I can get a new one, so I won't have to use it as a frisbee.

6. Or, see number 1.

So them's me options. Anyone else have any of those so called bright idears? And I am not gonna shove a light bulb up my ass, no matter how nifty you make it sound.

I am gonna try number 5 tonight. If I can get that would be great. But... we shall see...

Heh, Ha, HAHAHAHA!

I'm not laughing at you but with you. You are laughing aren't you? Well laugh goddamnit!

Although the frisbee thing will bring great satisfaction but don't do it yet. Fix it. Or kinda fix it, at least enough to sell or trade it some dumbass Korean. :p Then get new one. Find someway of making the skool pay for it. Yeah, that's the ticket. :D

Seriously, sorry to hear 'bout yer puter man. I remember you saying something a little while ago. Hope it all goes well too. If you use it as a frisbee though, climb ontop of a building before the launch. Then tell me how she flies. ;)

Rule of Thumb (AKA, How to keep your thumb on your hand):

Stay away from the cutting edge unless it's your job to sharpen it.

Whoo! I just got tingly inside :)

What you consider to be a piece of shit is thousands of times more powerful that the computers used during the Apollo era.

If you need a frisbee, go buy a pocket calculator (also more powerful than those computers) and have at it.

Cheap isn't always reliable but reliable tends to be cheap. Once it's been tested over time, THEN it's worth the price. If I went back ten years, this little network I've set up would have cost millions. Lucky me waited and did it for less than $1k. I waited for technology to catch up to what I wanted to do, got it and now it can do more than I'm able to utilize.

Smash a calculator. Once done, dig into its guts and look at all the stuff you and I may never understand.

5 bucks to release your (understandable) frustration
Less than $1k to get a reliable system (or repair the one you have)

Priceless

Oh!

In that case, be sure that it doesn't hit innocent bystanders and create an international circumstance.
