Hey! Here's a thought that might keep you from getting punched by your students or having to thump them in the head:

Take a camera (disposable or otherwise, preferably something with a flash) to class with you and tell your kids that you're making two lists (threads, here or not).

If one of them starts acting up, take a snapshot and dig out a little notebook from your back pocket. Jot down whatever bullshit and say nothing.

Same kinda thing for when one of them gets an A+ for answering something correctly (you set the standards) only with a smile accompanied by eye contact.

Hmm. Then again, they may think you're reporting to the U.S. Gov or something.

In picture #6, (next to last picture), we see Lucy, the "Queen of the seven dragons" fighting with Sharon, the "Enchantress of Kung Pao lake" over the fabled "spoon of fire."

This was foretold long ago by Lao Tsu, though Witter Bynner (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0399512985/qid=1029625707/sr=2-2/ref=sr_2_2/002-5247120-1860032) mistranslated it as "they who fight over eating utensils are as a hole in a waterpot, and their feet get all wet."

Lao tsu actually said "whoever wins, have her washed and brought to my tent."

Lucy closes her eyes and sends forth "flower happy sunrays" from her forehead, which heats the spoon to a million and a half degrees. Sharon screams and begins to use her monkey-style kung fu, which is very strong, and reaches with the other hand into her robe, where she has hidden the fabled "butterknife of divine wind."

No prob Cruise. I can steal a pair next time I go out to eat. Shouldn't be a problem. As for postage, I have no idear.

And why on earth would you want chiopsticks? They are the most impractical way of eating ever devised.

As long as you check them with your baggage, you should be fine. I once had to check a foot carved wooden pencil that was deemed a weapon. Story on the pencil to come later.
