I read the song and it makes me think of some poor pale face teenager Goth with fake blood coming out of his eyes nose and mouth, a badly dyed hand cut mop of hair, holding a buck knife thinking "man I bet people feel sorry for me".
Maybe it sounds better to music?

You guys need some good old fashioned 80's metal where you can't hear a fucking word of the lyrics except "graaamaarrgggrrrlllrrrwwaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!!!!". and you really don't care. It is LOUD and requires no conscious thought to enjoy.

Metal isn't about "sitting around and feeling sorry for yourself" or barking into a mic. That's absolutely ridiculous. It's about overcoming the very emotions that hold us down. It's about taking something ugly and transforming it into something beautiful. Don't buy into the media's stereotypes...isn't that what we're against?

Just a general comment...I was born a metalhead and I'll die a metalhead...I'll defend it to no end.

This would be an ideal thread to explain my title. It's a song by The Crown (I'm not going to sit here and type up all the lyrics...maybe another time), and it embodies my philosophy of life. My anthem. Metal is more than a type of music...it's a way of life.
