Okay, when all is said and done, who here thinks I could kick the world's ass?

I ask this because, well, frankly everything about it pisses me off. Why do I have to listen to the laws of other people? I shouldn't. If I denounce citizenship to the US, do they have any right to tell me what to do?

PETA pisses me off. I'm all for their basic beliefs, that animals should not be used for testing, fur, etc. Yes, I eat meat (insert cries of "hypocrite" here), and I am appalled at the conditions animals live in, which is why I get my meat from a local farm where I know the living conditions of the animals are humane.

I threw that in because I thought of something profound the other day.

A mother whose baby is born a few months premature will do everything to keep it alive. And many times they survive. This being, that should still be in the mom, is alive, breathing, pumping blood. And some women are killing these babies at that point in time.

Do you understand where I am coming from? It just seemed interesting to me. The totally opposite end of the spectrum feelings of two mothers.

I have firm opinions on this, probably because part of what I study involves looking at 'abortions' hooked up to machines for the purpose of medical study. Some of them are under 3 months gestation, but they are still alive.

I think people should take responsibility for their actions.

Here is one of the few areas where I disagree with the libertarians... A baby may be a parasite on the womens body, and it may be a womans right to choose... but I think that choice should be confined to choosing whether or not to keep the child (unless there is some reason pregnancy would be detrimental to the hosts well being). I think denying the child the right to live is more of a lib issue than the autonomy of the parent... however, they disagree.

But.. thats just my opinion, and I try not to shove it down other peoples throat... I'm not going to hold it against someone if they want an abortion.

Technically, the fetus has been classified as a virus, living off the host "mother". Prematures aren't giving the choice to survive. That's because most prematures are in incubated chambers at the hospital, being cared for by doctors. And not on a remote deserted island feeding off roaches for a month.
