I used to have two turtles. Michelangelo and Leonardo (hehe). Then one of my two pitbulls (R.I.P.) ate Leo(R.I.P.), and almost killed Michelangelo. :( We took Michelangelo to the zoo where I lived. And I think they fixed him up good. This was about 10 years ago.

pretty leech huh?

I'm not sure what they feed on, on the shell tho....
but its pretty normal to see them on turtles.

I helped them cross the road and now they are safely on the other side in a creek I'm sure.

Although perhaps a kiddie pond or horse trough on the property for interesting specimens is warrented. hmmmmm......
