Its such a perfect day...

A couple of times a year, mine and Tarryns holidays coincide - with that in mind I declared yesterday to be 'Mum and Tarryn' day. It started off with a breakfast of hotcakes at Mc Donalds, (ok, so it was more of a perfect day for the munchkin as I hate junk food), followed by shopping - I let him browse the toy department while I got the boring essential clothing items, he got technics :) - and then a movie together (kids world, quite amusing). Then we had burger king for lunch - followed by more shopping - he got some new kids books and a video, I got a new David Eddings book and some Buffy the Vampire Slayer satin PJ's, then we came home and played playstation together :). We held hands and strolled through the park, talking about enviromentalism (something he is strangely interested in for a six year old), went and fed the birds and just chatted away like 2 best friends.

All together, it was the perfect day, the little munchkin was blissfully content and fell asleep with a big grin. It was one of the most rewarding days I have had in a long time.

Remember, the best thing you can spend on your kids is time....
