THe retinal scans are the worst of these though, just from the standpoint of how to defeat it. The facescan can be fooled easily enough, and prints can be faked (i think). But what are we gonna have to do, walk aobut with fake eyes to put up to the scanner?
I just hope Death comes in a halfway quick manner.

Well, when shit goes down and they start you can bet I'll take quite a few out before I die. This is idiocy to the highest extent. People read these fucking articles and shrug them off, tolerate high taxes for services and WILLINGLY accept that they have to pay these or be jailed. What the hell happened to American society? Is the fight even worth it anymore, when 90% of the populace is more willing to lay down and be herded like sheep instead of defending their rights? I guess it's time to start stocking up on ammo real soon before they take that too. Remember, kids...it's all for the children. http://www.thehypertribe.net/ubb/mad.gif

The means and motives? Money. Government is ruled by the corporations...look at the battle between Napster and the RIAA and tell me this isn't true. Corporations already invade your rights "to provide better services", why not this? They'd love to be able to track you, and considering the influence they have over the gov't, they can do it. Something to think about...

Here is a scenario for you Squee.
First a tie in to reality. We have some pretty stupid laws on the books, it is illegal to harass butterflies in Pacific grove California. There are countless other stupid laws on the books. With the growing legislation involving hate crime things will become ridiculous there as well.
On to the scenario.
You are at an ATM the frigging thing still won't give you money just like yesterday you get upset and walk hastily away. You didn't know but there was a minority person, elected official, off duty cop etc standing close behind you. You brush past them as you leave the ATM and that person loses their balance. The camera at the ATM catches that action and has your retinal scan on file. An automatic report is filed with the police due to the ATM violence act of 2004. You drive to Wal Mart and the front door camera scans you from it's hidden location. It was added with federal funds in the stop shoplifting program. The In store police squad is notified that citizen X is in the store and has an E-Warrant(tm) issued for violence. The stores roof cameras keep tabs on your location in the store and you are apprehended. Since this is a misdemeanor you get no representation the evidence is un refutable and on file. You are levied a $2000 fine for ATM violence you spend a night in jail while it is ascertained that you can foot your bail. You are added to the violent offenders database as a requirement of the ATM violence act and it goes into your file. During your quarterly review at work you are informed that persons on the violent offenders list are not eligible to work at your company. You are unemployed and banned from having a decent job due to one temporary outburst and an accidental encounter.
You can say "that will never happen" I agree. That scenario will not. Before the Rico act would you have believed that sort of thing could be passed in America? Seizure of your property without proof of wrong doing?
The technology on itself is not a bad thing. It will allow the enforcement of unenforceable laws. The next time you stop with your bumper slightly in the crosswalk, imagine a camera mounted under the light identifying you and mailing you a ticket. It will be seen as a regular thing. My gas bill, my cable bill, my DMV bill, my parking bill, my spitting on the sidewalk bill etc...
It is about having the freedom to act without anally planning each move. Being politically correct 24-7. If you don't believe me try carrying your proceeds from the sale of your house through an airport. Try saying the word "Bomb" in an airport. With this technology that same thing can extend to all public facilities.

I can honestly say that this thread has had an affect on my opinions. Originally, I was under the impression that my individual identity should be readily identifiable; PINs and SSAN# just don't cut it. The "severed head" scenario has me thinking...
squee, tell me this:
Now that it's possible to manufacture a 3D facsimile in short order, what's to say someone will not lift a fingerprint, reproduce it with texture, apply it to a glove (perhaps after they've procured oils from someone's skin for genetic cross-referencing)...
At the moment, retinal scans seem to be somewhat secure as far as the general populous is concerned. Just as with PGP, the identifying markers can be duplicated and reproduced with enough effort.
I'll have to give this more thought.

Good point Kol.
How hard would it be to buy or steal one of those eye scanners and nab someone's identity, print up a set of contact lenses to match and use their identity. Also it would be pretty easy to remain anonymous by growing facial hair and wearing colored contacts.
At any rate I am sure this technology will be developed. It is our jobs to inform friends and use our vote and our money to resist it. These things can't stand the light of day and when exposed for what they are quickly vanish. The trick is to not give up. Don't be complacent with what you are given. Strive for what you believe to be right.
If we all can't be treated like sheep it will take much longer to implement.

Ha ha RW I have a funny story about that firearm.
That one in the picture is the full dress version. Imagine it without the buttstock fancy shmansy sight and no silencer. OK OK RW stop crying it is just a story......
We had a couple dozen of those MP5K's in that configuration in a facility where I worked at Ft Bragg. They are a hell of a lot of fun on the range but that all changed one day.
The school I worked for trained foreign officers as well as US special forces. Some of those officers (most) were not too familiar with firearms safety.
Do you see the nub just under the muzzle? Well on the standard version it is longer, about 3/4" to protect fingers on the forward grip from coming in contact with the muzzle.
Weeeeeeeeeeeelll to make a long story longer one of those officers used it for a finger grip similar to pistol shooting where the front of the trigger guard is used to steady the pistol with the off hand. Upon discharging several rounds on full auto his finger capped the muzzle and the next round did what you would expect.
We were no longer allowed to take them to the range during the time I was stationed there. We saw a lot of stupid maneuvers at the range but that took the cake. The bright side is that it could never happen again (to that officer) He he!

The quote below concerning gold fringe on the Flag is from the book "So Proudly We Hail, The History of the United States Flag" Smithsonian Institute Press 1981, by Wiliam R. Furlong and Byron McCandless. "The placing of a fringe on Our Flag is optional with the person of organization, and no Act of Congress or Executive Order either prohibits the practice, according to the Institute of Hearaldry. Fringe is used on indoor flags only, as fringe on flags on outdoor flags would deteriorate rapidly. The fringe on a Flag is considered and 'honorable enrichment only', and its official use by the US Army dates from 1895.. A 1925 Attorney General's Opinion states: 'the fringe does not appear to be regarded as an integral part of the Flag, and its presence cannot be said to constitute an unauthorized addition to the design prescribed by statute. An external fringe is to be distinguished from letters, words, or emblematic designs printed or superimposed upon the body of the flag itself. Under law, such additions might be open to objection as unauthorized; but the same is not necessarily true of the fringe.'"
The gold trim is generally used on ceremonial indoor flags that are used for special services and is believed to have been first used in a military setting. It has no specific significance that I have ever run across, and its (gold trim) use is in compliance with applicable flag codes and laws.

The gold fringe around the flag was intially implemented by the navy to represent that thje ship was operating under maritime law.
The army, marines, etc use it in parade to represent military law....
So the next time you pay a traffic fin in TX (which could be never for you, what the hell time is it in New Zealand anyway?)
and you see the beatiful US Flag with gold fringe draped behind the judge remember that it means he represents a MILITARY STATE.
He probably doesn't know that though....

If I act out aggressively towards someone I am opening myself up to their retaliation.
If they think I am going to kill them they may try to kill me.
If a fucking low life piece of shit kills and rapes and maims because (like some other people on the forum) he doesn't KNOW if he's crazy or not or "right from wrong".
That excuses shit!
He is opening himself up to retaliation.
