i have mixed thoughts on the subject.

my boyfriend has been a couple of times with his friends since we started dating and it doesn't really bother me. i hinted that maybe we could go together some time, but i'm not sure that i would handle watching my lover drool over other women very well. ;) i think that i could go with a male friend and have a good time, but its different when there are deep emotions involved.

it really confounds me as to how incredibly visually oriented and stimulated men are. i just don't get it.

what does it say about a society whose sex workers make thousands more than its educators?

i don't see anything wrong with the naked form, be it man or woman. i *do* think that women who portray themselves as nothing but sex objects shouldn't be upset when they are treated as such, whether it be in a tittie bar or on the internet.

if a woman can watch a movie with her boyfriend, and secretly admire the way russell crowe flexes his biceps, why is it wrong for her boyfriend to go and openly admire a naked woman?

i think it's hypocritical for women to say that they don't want their boyfriend/husband going to a tittie bar, when every single woman i know fantasizes about guys in movies.

at least they're being honest.

Like morgana said, there is nothing wrong with the naked human body, but it shouldn't be exploited to make money. I feel like a big hypocrite here because I like pr0n, but if the women (and the men) want to be treated like sex objects, so be it. But, like Sianna said, don't be surprised. I could just never do something like that.

As for the belief that it is hypocritical for women to not like men going to titty bars because they fantasize about men, I think that there is a difference between just fantasizing about something and actually acting on that fantasy.

"acting" on that fantasy- most men that go to the strip club don't go to feel the women up, or try to get a little something on the side. i know alot of girls who work at strip clubs, one of my female friends bartends at one. for the most part, it's just a place to hang out, get drunk, and pretend that those pretty women want you for awhile.

women, on the other hand, have a problem denying thier fantasies to their spouses or significant others. "me, fantasize about russell crowe? aw, honey, all i fanatasize about is you!" we're more secretive of our desires, whereas men just want to stare at tits.

tittie bars? heh..well...the ones in tyler leave a little something to be desired sometimes.

have I gone? sure. Did I enjoy it? some of the women. Could I ever date someone who did that? Nope. Not only jealousy would get the best of me, but I just wouldn't be able to shake the feeling that there is some deep seated need for attention, or some other psychological disturbance in the women who do it, whether it was true or not.

Hell yeah! :) I know several of the women that work there, and see nothing wrong with it. If I were more secure with my own nakedness, I couldn't honestly say that I wouldn't give it a try myself. I don't see anything wrong with them. My boyfriend and I go sometimes, it's great. They are always playing good music, the bouncers are nice and so are the dancers. It's just where we go to relax sometimes.

The women and the guest have strick rules in order to keep it clean. I've only been to that one, but every time I've gone I had a great time.

The dancers would sit down and talk to us without trying for a lap dance, which impressed me. They had respect for us as a couple so most of the time we would give them the money anyway without having to do anything.

Been to a titty bar once, as part of a mobile bachelor party last year. (I say "mobile" because we had rented a bus and paid some poor bastard to drive us from bar to bar all night.)

What I felt from the first moment I walked in was a violent mix of pity and horror. Granted, I had multiple chemicals doing the Lambada(tm) all throughout my bloodstream. But what I saw was terrifying.

Not the naked women. The manner in which the men were behaving toward them. It was a festival of body parts shoved into people faces, of dollar bills traded for pieces of humanity.

I had a pretty girl, relatively fully clothed, sit down next to me and talk to me for a couple of minutes. Said she was attending college, etc etc. I guess I wasn't a good enough conversationalist, because she got up to leave. She decided to stick around when I pulled twenty dollars out of my pocket. I felt bad having taken up her time, when she could be across the room making money with her own particular brand of false intimacy.

"Here, do whatever it is you're supposed to do," I said in an moment of verbal clumsiness as I handed her the money. Instantly she became my best friend, my lover, everything to me so long as my hands stayed at my sides. Until the song was over, then I became just another customer, another wolf.

Then I realized the underlying truth - that everyone in that place, both stripper and wolf, was being exploited in some way. The women, by selling their dignity for twenty bucks a gram. And the men, for attempting to fill in their emotional gaps with false affection.

Now, don't get me wrong with all this. I like tits as much as the next guy. Probably more. But, as I feel with sex, I prefer to know that seeing a pair of tits in my face is going to be a repeated situation, not a one-shot deal.

There was a time in my life , where I'd drink heavily everynight. Mostly Jack Daniels. And then I'd go to the strip club , alone. I'd spend anywhere from (no less) $300.00 to $600.00 (that's as big as my pay checks got) each time I'd go. I'd sit in the corner till a girl would come up and ask me if I wanted a dance. I spent several years going to this one strip club on damn near a weekly basis. I made a lot of friends there. I was one of those guys who went to sit and look at the bigscreens for those pay per view boxing matches and whatnot. I was also one of those guys that didn't harass the girls. They would see me when I came in and the bouncers would all offer their hand for a good "sup man" shake. The girls would come to me for a hug. A lot of the girls never got a dime, some got some dollars, some got lots of dollars. I could sit at a table or at the bar and bullshit with the people. I ran into old highshool buddies all the time which was pretty cooj. I was one of those guys that when one or more of the girls needed a break from the bullshit could come sit next to me and engage in actual conversation. (most of the time they were'nt bothered if they were sitting with someone) I wasn't trying to get into their pants (though it sometimes happened):p A vast majority of these girls where paying their way trough college and whatnot. Most of them were cooj as shit and I forgot to mention HOT, HOT, HOT! Every once and while Jojo and I will go and she seems to enjoy the atmosphere. (which is a good thing):D

The only thing that bothers me sometimes is some of the girls, more often than not, get too wrapped up in the business. They realize later that they will never make $1700 a week as a nurse or whatever they were going to college for. So, they drop out. :( Thinking stripping is the career they want. Me and a couple of buddies go maybe twice a year or so. We don't go to lust over the girls. Hell, the place we go, has probably the nastiest women in town. We go, to get loud, get trashed, and raise hell. We go to be stupid, stereotypical, annoying guys. The guys I go out places to, we are a mix of single and married folk. If we all go to a regular club, the single guys are trying to be cool for the ladies, whether or not they know it. If you go someplace where you have no interest in the girls there, you tend to have more fun with the guys.

My wife fully supports me going downtown once in a while with the guys, it keeps me rowdy and happy, and she knows I'm not out looking for some scabby stripper.

You should hear her and her sister talk on the phone during an Enrique Iglesias video, if that poor man could hear it, he'd feel more debased than a stripper who got tossed a quarter heated up with a lighter :)

If a woman is forced to strip for money, although she finds it degrading, due to economic reasons, then I think it is a bit of a social problem, but don't really have any opinion on how to solve it.

heh...PB saw my post, and sure enough, came, and grabbed me, and took me to the "club"

I must say I enjoyed the experience...the few girls that I got lap dances from would talk w/ PB and I while waiting for the current song playing to end. Oh yeah.. making fun of some of the girls and their facial expressions, or the guys that go up to tip them and then try to act like they aren't starrting at every part of her body! That cracks me up, and there was one dancer in particular that it was so funny, cause she was singing the song and like growling.. lmfao. and we cracked up everytime she got on stage. And of course leave the people behind us to me... Ok there were two girls and a large group of guys with them, and you could tell that they were straight as an arrow. They were at the stage like squeeling as the girls was dancing infront of them. It was too funny. and the looks on this one grisl face were priceless. You can tell they were drunk, but that was one of the best aspects of the night was laughing at those two chicks. It was a blast!

Strippers are like everybody else: There's good ones and bad ones. My best friend was living with a lady who stripped to put herslef through college. The solution of maximum cash with fewest hours helped to balance out a huge school workload. She saved every dime she made and while going to school, was able to be 100% self supporting. I can admire that.

Now, I met quite a few of her co-workers while they were together. They ranged anywhere from great like Jen, to strung out coke whore. Some of these girls were making upwards of $1000 per week with nothing to show for it at all.

As for the establishments themselves, I don't mind. Going with your friends can be a fun "male-bonding" experience. I've also gone with girl-friends and had a good time. I always just worry about the scary little guy sitting alone on "sniffers row" drinking nothing but a coke. You should worry about that guy.

Oh Please Kol, borrow that Hat and tell us a story! But I do have something to say as well, I know lots of women that dance for a living. I did it once in college on an amature night, won the contest and walked out the door with like $900 and was only there 3 hours. These places have a no touching rule, your just there to look, my favorite reason for going is the atmosphere, it's a relaxing place to be, and has nice scenery!
