Thats right. At the design awards this week, one ofthe nominations is an Australian who made a V8 superbike.
0-100 in under 3 (kph, that is). 0-100mph in under 5.
I want one. :D

That's a lot cooler looking than those Boss Hog bikes with the chevy v8 in them. Those just look even bigger and dumber than other cruisers.
You should get two of them. I'll ride the other for you, keep it fresh and all.

mmmmm, V8 bikes are cool so don't get me wrong. Here's a little story.
*Swipes the hat from cruise*
Many, many, many years ago, I went to the "Spring Invotational" at Rockingham NC. It was a race I attended every year for about 9 years. (I always got pit passes) w00t! Anywayz, I don't remember the year or anything but I was there, soaking up the race. In between rounds of the big dogs (top fuel and funny cars) they brought out this guy with the first ever Chevy powered V8 motorcycle. It was a 327 and full of muscle. Hell, moving a 1k lb bike, it didn't take much muscle. He pulled up to the line after doing his burnout and got ready for his first pass on his creation. The tree came down the RPMs went up and he was off! It was freakin' beautiful at first, then something went terribly wrong. I don't know what or why, but it did. It was told he was already running in excess of 150 mph when the bike went crazy. It went down, then tumbled several times in the air before coming to a rest. He did the same. He never spoke or breathed another breath again. He was carried away in a "meat wagon". I'll never forget that day as I watched it horror. Everyone expected the worst and the worst happened.
I once rode a friend of mines Ninja 1100. All I can say is....goddamn. The ability to make that kind of power out of such a small package, is almost beyond me. I don't see the point in a V8 powered bike, the others fly like fuck anywayz. Maybe it's just to say "yeah, I've got one of those!" but it ain't for me. I'll ride anything once, I've driven 8 second 160 mph race cars (thats the 1/4 mile mind you) and I have no desire to jump on one of those death traps.
