View Full Version : Help me decide

There's a chance that I might assume ownership of THT. I don't know the details yet but I damned sure won't take it if it's someplace people hate. I've pulled the plug on a site long ago and that one gave me a wife and kids (two dogs, one dead, and a seemingly imortal cat).

My question is this:

Will you make it worth the effort?

Take that into consideration as you decide the course of my future.

Smooch.

I voted that you should take over ownership. Even though THT has been through major dramas and problems over the times, it was once a happy and booming place. I believe, now that everyone has been unbanned and things are being somewhat sorted, that THT can go back to the place it once was..or an even better place. I have liked this place from the first time I came (snuck in) here ;) This is mainly due to the people that post here, I've met lots of cool people through this site and I hope it continues on so others can reap those benifits too.

Err..this may not seem like much coming from someone who has no interest in politics whatsoever..but hey, you asked :P I'm here for the people baby, and the FUN :D

I would definitely rather this site stay up..<3 for TheHyperTribe.

But I thought to begin with that Kol should be the one to take ownership of THT after RW decided to not keep ownership of it.

Kol has always been one of the keys to this place, and one of my personal favorites filled with wisdom and compassion. I would love to be here with you as the new owner Kol, I appreciate all the hard work done by EA and by anyone else that has helped along the way, but I would be thrilled to see you as the owner of THT as I think that you are a great aspect to this board.

Kol I would consider it a great honor to have you as the owner of THT!

PB loves Kol!

I think it would be a good idea, as long as you give me a set of master keys, because picklocking is, well, so tacky and outdated. ;)

But yeah, it would be a good thing if you did. Just make sure hat you can make the committment.

You're a nice guy Kol, and one of the reasons I hang out here, but I don't see you as 'owner' here.

What is this ownership concept?

Kol, it's a huge responsibility. One I know you can handle. Since we admins. and mods. usually hold down the fort anyways, I say go for it. I just don't want to step on any toes along the way (i.e. EA's or RW's). I'm assuming you're talking about liscences and all the legal mumbo jumbo. As it stands you know WE own it. We run it. We are THT. I say go for it, it'll cut out a lot of shit all the way around. If you ever wanted out (in which I would have to kick your ass for anyway) you could transfer it to someone else I'm sure. You're one of the smartest, calm and collected guys I know, you could do no harm with the responsibility. Take it, it's yours.

I've yet to see you in a 'position of authority' so it's hard to say really, however, I find it hard to see you becoming a fascist bully boy over night - so yeah, sure, why not.

Been there, done that, I was admin before I betrayed y'all, remember? I never saw him do anything more in there than make very helpful comments and the odd bit of costructive criticism. None of which I had a problem with.

I really don't care who owns it. I ain't leavin' :D

Having Kol at the helm would be a-okay with me. kol knows how I feel about him, so enough said.

No no. You got me all wrong. This isn't about me running the joint and making rules and shit. It's about owning the title/license to the vb software.

Goatboy doesn't see me as "owner" and in that respect neither do I. Right now (as I understand it) Bumox has legal ownership. You know that little "This software is licensed to (name)" thing? That would be Bumox. He made the purchase.

Get it? I'm not looking to take over here. I have a life and I'm not insane! Well... maybe just a little.

I'll continue to make helpful suggestions just as I have been. Any changes made will be agreed upon. That's the only thing I want to see happen. Admins and mods will VOTE on changes instead of running around willy-nilly. The majority will rule. If something needs to be taken to the membership, the MEMBERSHIP will rule.

I'll be owner only in name, not deed. Consider that as my promise. Copy that down somewhere and throw it back in my face if I break it.

Thanks for the words, peeps. It'll be a while before I even know if it's an option.
