Some of you may or may not have grudges against others. Well, fuck that. This is a web board, for discussion.

And yes, there are others like it, just like there are other coffee shops. There is no monopoly on the internet, or on your minds. (Now dont go screaming off about how the secret world government owns everything ;))

Now we may like one board better than another, because of the tapestry and decour, or because of the people, or just the atmosphere. Much like a web board.

Therefore we become a 'regular', a known entity to others that enhabit this particular coffee shop.

It becomes a part of our routine, our lives.

Much like a web board.

And if management changes, and you dont like it, or policy changes, you can always go to other coffee shops.

Just like a web board.

However, at THT, there is one vital difference.

RW, for all that he may or may not be (speculation is NOT my place here), built this place with his hands and wallet. Not to take away from ANYONE who helped make this place what it is, without RW, there was no THT to begin with. And for that work, I am thankful, and the work himself and others went into improving, enhansing and recruiting for this place.

Therefore he deserves kudos for this.

So ANYONE talking shit in this forum can, but just remember who made it. And who paid for it for so long. Kudos to Dingle for taking that for us. :)

Just some respect would be good. Who did what to whom when, is up to you to determine. I dont care. Really. Trust me on that one.

And therefore, before you go mouthing off, just think. THINK. YOu know, with a brain.

And if after all this time, some can not, then thats up to them. But man, I ask you WHY? The past is just that. Leave it be, your wrongs, real or imagined or misinterpreted or true.

As it stands you've got one post I put myself out there to write, and some bitter comments.


Now, I wanna have my say insofar as respect is concerned.

Does the ability to write a check give one sole domain over a site? You say that without members THT would not be what it is now, yet you justify the use and abuse of the membership solely because the bills are getting paid.

We were not respected, IMO.

RW told me once that he kept Dingle and Wonderaz around because they were fun to toy with. How's that for a shitkicker, TA?

These two people have honestly done as much for the site as RW in more subtle ways, yet they aren't given credit, acknowledgement...NOTHING. Even getting bashed daily and harrassed by RW they stood by THT and did all they could to help us. With a forum they busted their asses on like we have getting insulted and criticized unjustly by the owner of this one.

They did it for the members. RW did it for himself alone. And that's the reason why I now say "fuck you."

Yeah, I can write checks and say "I'm doing you all a favor for this"...but it's a shitty attitude and outlook.

I'll give RW credit where it's due but I'll not justify wrong acts at all. A lot of this was simply wrong, and I'm no longer afraid to say so.

And since I was never able to put any money for the place, I feel indebted to him for putting it all together, as I do to everyone who put in time and effort to bring it together.

All I am saying is that we should all take a step back before we nail him to a cross and set fire to him.

But for better or for worse, RW made this place. Helped build it, along with you and me.

Therefore, accord him some respect. there are alot of people in this world that have created great things that are also assholes. hell, most of the musicians we look up to are probably the biggest pricks in their personal lives. but since we don't see that side of them, it doesn't make as big of an impact. now...if, for example, maynard from tool decided to write a three paragraph rant on how much he thinks so-and-so from another band is a fucking retard, that might make you a bit uncomfortable, especially if it's someone you personally like. could it interfere with your respect for maynard as a singer? i believe so, especially if he continued with a pattern of such abuse.

which leads to why i left this place. a day or so before the inky thing happened, rogue warrior started a thread, calling out a member named speech without thinking for making a tasteless joke. he harassed him, then humiliated him, then threatened to ban him, all within three posts. and SPWOT was the gentleman in this case. he answered politely, queried intelligently, and overall made a mature impact on me. the more mature he acted, the more puerile rogue got. and that's when i saw the ugly side to this place, and didn't want to come back here. it is only a coincidence that inky's scandal broke a day or so later, which only cemented my decision.

yes, roguewarrior had a brilliant idea for the inception of the hypertribe. but you know what? tack from the asylum had the original idea for that, too. but he's a total fucktard most of the time. i'm not going to respect someone who does not give it in return, no matter how many great ideas they spout forth. period.

however...i will respect those who have shown me respect. in that regard, i will respect escape artist's treatment of me, and not talk about this issue further here. because he has gone out of his way to make me and others feel welcome back here, i will respect his wish that this subject be dropped.

TA, this really isn't a good time for a RW ass kissing thread. The THT continued DISPITE RW not because of him, understand that. He didn't build this place, the Tribals did. He didn't pay $300+ a month to keep it open, he just told everyone he did so you would feel grateful to him (ownage). Seriously, on that point, go price hosting on a site using less than 15 gigs a month.
Now, I know he went through a rough time in the beginning of THT when his fiance died. That must have been very hard on him, especially when she showed up a few months later and didn't even know she had died.....
The point is, we aren't buying his lies anymore, TA, he is gone and THT is going on. Take the sticky off this and drop the subject. All it will do is start shit. Find something positive to post about, there are plenty of subjects that we are all interested in besides him, OK?

I get the point you are making TA and I agree.

RW is a wonderful man, I new him in person long before I ever even knew that The Tribe existed. I hold the upmost respect for him because I know him in the flesh and not just as an opinion on a forum. I respect pretty much everyone that posts here, but it is true as TA said, if RW hadn't come up with this place, none of us would be here now. I respect the people that have now taken over the responsibilities of this forum that I find to be home, and I hope that it doesn't go down hill, and let the RW bashing Stop!

Someone said something about $300 to host a site, the site wasn't just hosted, the price included a colocation of a server that did come out of his pocket, and out of Strider's pocket, and I believe Bumox helped along the way as well.. but that is from what I know. I don't know everything, nor have I ever claimed to.. :)

Through this place I have met a great many of people, RW was just the one that led me here and let me loose. Since then I have had the pleasure of meeting theMAC, and will Meet Simple Simon, Satan's Left Hand, and Siam later on this evening. And Asmodeous before too long as well. I have become great friends with Kol and have received good advice from alot of people here. But I think that RW does deserve some respect here, and if you feel he doesn't deserve your respect, then I believe he does deserve a thank you from each and every Tribal, if it weren't for him we wouldn't be here today.

It's pretty much in my makeup that once I spend some time talking to a person, and generally knowing them a while, I really hesitate to say an ill word about them. Sometimes, I could be angry, and say something, but for the most part, try not to.

I dont agree with some of the things said by Rogue, or others here, or actions they have taken. That's ok, I have real life acquaintances and friends that say and do some stuff I dont like as well. Until someone does or says something that really does damage to the things I personally hold dear, they are ok by me.
Keep in mind, this is my personal philosophy, I expect nobody else to adhere to it. Everyone has different threshholds.

I'm happy to see all the old faces back here, and happy to see the faces that have always been here. So, despite some actions and words some or many may disagree with, I personally give thanks to the guys that thought it up, made it real, to those that will continue to make it real, and also to those of you I've never talked to, but I've read your stuff. I've enjoyed something about every one of you guys at one time or another.
