so the Academy Awards are coming up, woo fucking hoo...

i don't really care much about their opinions, but usually the movies that are nominated are decent flicks to watch...

anyways, there's a new award being presented this year "Best Animated Film"(or something like that)... now what really ticks me off is this,

there's only 3 movies being nominated.. Shrek, Monsters Inc. and Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius...

"so what?" you say...

so what? i'll tell you what... ever hear about a movie called Final Fantasy (http://www.finalfantasy.com) that came out this past summer? well i did, and i saw it, and it had the best damn animation i have ever seen...

so what's the point of this thread? i'm pissed off because this movie wasn't nominated in this category, it beats all 3 of those movies put together...

either the Academy has something against this movie, which would be down right, ummm, ignorant? or Disney payed the Academy off to be the first ones to win this award...

i really want to express my feelings on this subject matter to someone who might be able to do something about this, or atleast give me answer to why Squaresoft wouldn't get nominated for this award they deserve... (even though they might not even give a shit)

but my attempts and searching have turned out futile :(

I saw Final Fantasy, and I admit that the animation was pretty good. However, to get nominated, a film must have an important ingredient that was somehow overlooked in the making of this one...intelligent plot/non-ghey-assed ending. Final Fantasy failed miserably in this department.
