let me get this straight, i payed taxes when i bought the car. i payed taxes for the gas in the car, i payed taxes for the tires on the car. i payed taxes for the registration sticker in the window. i payed taxes on oil in the engine. basically i have already payed taxes on every single moving and non moving parts on my car, i'll be damned if i plan on paying taxes for using that which has already been taxed! does anyone remember the after school special kidco?

<FONT COLOR="Orange">Internal combustion engines have been obsolete for many years now. Better, cheaper, more efficient, more environmentally friendly technology already exists but is not being applied due to dollars and cents. Federal and state governments have become dependent on gas taxes to finance their inefficient, ineffective bureaucracies.

Eventually, petroleum fueled automobiles will become a thing of the past. Government has to find a way to continue to tax us to ensure their steady revenue. When we are no longer paying their taxes at the gas pump, we will be paying them in the form of this proposed odometer tax, increased property taxes, and numerous other opportunities they will seize to extort our earnings.

Mark my words: While the expense of owning and operating an automobile may decrease for us, the amount of money we fork over to Uncle Sam will continue to increase. It's not a question of "if", it's a question of "how".
